Only the third venue to host shield cricket for South Australia....

Raphael has plenty of starts this season, has his work cut out against Ryan Harris though....

Smith, is that Kelvin?

Opie to carry the drinks....

So batting order would be
Smith
Raphael
Klinger
Cooper
Head
Botha
Ludeman
Mennie
Sayers
Zampa
George

IMO terribly unbalanced side for one reason and one reason only, the Captain!
Get him out and play a btasman at 6
4 bowlers just have to do the job. Our batting looks real thin and needs 6 batsman to be competitive

No Richo? Not surprised putland is injured. If he cant find fitness we should show him the door. Too much coin to sit in rehab.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Think Richardson is injured as well....

Don't think Gaz would be commanding top dollar either he is never on the park enough to put consistent performances to ask for it...

Still only 5/6 South Aussies in the side . Looks a very fragile batting line-up for mine, hopefully I'm proved wrong. Botha needs to average 25+ with the bat this summer if he's to keep his spot IMHO (assuming he's not going to be a major wicket taker).

Head needs some runs too or he might go into the "over rated" basket.

Richardson with a back hot spot, hopes to be back for the next game.

I like the look of our bowling lineup however the batting looks very thin.

No Hughes or Ferguson for this match is really going to test us.

Shame about McDonald really thought he could have been an asset. Mind you would they play both Mcdonald and Botha in the same side if Mcdonald was fit?

He really does need to have a solid season and impose himself this year.

Just my opinion

From his bio
"After making his debut in January 2012, Head has played 14 Bupa Sheffield Shield matches, making 660 runs at 25.38 including five half-centuries"
Not enough for a top 6 batsman or a bloke of his talent.

You would expect him to lift that Ave to mid to low 30s by seasons end.

I hope so, I think he has plenty of talent. Third season, needs to put the runs on the board

Seems to be bowling a bit more in GC/PL too
