Don't tell his girlfriend that!
In all seriousness good luck to Jimmy wherever he goes if he can't fit into Norths salary structure.

Might have to change the title of this thread.

Huh? The possibility of the Bays having won lotto has caused you to rethink the title of this thread?
"Bays Win Lotto" should throw a few people.

Oh! Dugga Ralph?
Well done old son, just like Dugga to share the proceeds around the club so they can recruit a triple Magarey Medallist too!

From the official NAFC website :

Regretfully we wish to confirm that James Allan has decided to continue his SANFL career at another club. We had offered terms to James several weeks ago at his request, pending us fulfilling some recruiting needs. Our original offer has remained firm, but unfortunately we cannot meet the additional remuneration requirements now requested by James due to salary cap reasons.

Be assured we have worked hard to try and bring James back to the Roosters and thought we had done that until last week.

We wish James every success at his new club, and whilst this is disappointing, he will always remain a champion Rooster and club favourite.

What a disappointing situation. One does wonder how the Bays are going to stay under the salary cap given their recruits and the amount of money that Jimmy was allegedly asking for from North. Surely something could have been worked out between North and JImmy.

Reckon I might venture over to The Roost for a bit of a bo-peep....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

LOL, I've changed the name of the thread, though my "mail" was pretty good considering it came from the horses mouth!
Oh well, I'd rather him at the Bays than at a club that could do some damage to us in the finals.

No dramas with Glenelg's salary cap, can't believe people would be questioning it with the outs of Mules, Davenport, Tenace plus last years key recruits of McInerney & Walsh. Add to the fact 2013 was the end of the reported large "back ended" contracts which restricted recruiting until this year.

Mules, Davenport and Tenace would have been taking a large slice and have been replaced with Lonergan and Joseph, so would be plenty of room for another "name" recruit....

That was your problem right there, especially if Davenport and/or Tenace were on the same sort of coin as Lonergan.

Tenace shouldn't have been on any coin, one of the worst recruits to ever come over here
