Postby Brodlach » Mon Nov 11, 2013 9:25 am

Another game against WA, this time at the new Adelaide Oval.

Klinger back from Australia A duties but Fergusson is playing for an Invitational side in NSW. Hughes was in that team but is now staying with the Redbacks.

My team:

Hughes
Klinger
Head
Cooper
Smith
Botha
Ludeman
Mennie
Sayers
Zampa
Lawford

Ins: Zampa, Klinger
Outs: Raphael, Munting

Go Redbacks!

Wish they would show some stability and persevere for more than one game with someone whether it be Zampa or Munting or whoever!

Apart from that, with the exception of Ferguson missing, it looks to be one of our strongest possible line ups!

Richo and Putland both bowled on the weekend.

One of them should come in and bowl with Mennie and Sayers

So what are you saying drop Lawford who did well or play 4 seamers?

Is Zampa the leg spinner from Vic who looks about 14 years old?

Is the game definitely at Adelaide Oval? Can't wait to unearth the new membership!

Lawford deserves his spot, the others can have another week in district to make sure they are over their injuries.

Zampa is the leggie from NSW with the blonde hair.

I was thinking for munting.

Klinger will open for Raph. Might be the only change.

I saw Worrall picked up 5 on the weekend and J Brown is back and playing.

George another who is a chance.

Whatever happened to Haberfield? Was excellent in the one day season last summer.

Jake has gone to Victoria. Didnt see a chance in the 4 days comp in SA so went over there (has family in Vic) to try his luck.

I'd go
Klinger in for Raphael
Zampa in for Munting
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

Lets hope the Adelaide Oval pitch is like last years that helped our bowlers more than usual.
If we have repetition of the Glenelg Oval Brighton ROAD pitch , gunna be harder to get outrights

Outright is a must against WA who are favorites to be wooden spooners in 2013/2014

Klinger returns for Adelaide Oval Shield clash
12 Nov 2013 - Community/Country Cricket, General News, Redbacks, SACA

Michael Klinger and Adam Zampa will return to the West End Redbacks' side for the first Bupa Sheffield Shield match back at the redeveloped Adelaide Oval.
Klinger, who missed the win against the Warriors in Perth due to Australia A duties, will open the batting with Phil Hughes.
Leg-spinner Adam Zampa, 12th man last week, is a strong chance to return to the line-up to support Johan Botha as the second spinner.
Paceman Daniel Worrall, who has recovered from a side strain, has also been included in the 13-man squad. James Munting and Elliot Opie come out of the squad.
West End Redbacks' coach Darren Berry said the players are excited and proud to be the first to play on the redeveloped Adelaide Oval.
"It's an exciting time for this young group, coming off a great win in Perth with some momentum," Berry said.
"We hope our West End Redbacks' fans flock down to the Adelaide Oval to watch an historic occasion.
"A win this week would really give our season a good foundation to build on; it's vital we head into Christmas in a strong position."

Either Raph or Smith will play, depends if they want to open with Klinger/Hughes or bat one of them at 3 and push Trav down to 4.
