Now that the major league is over im sure there are a few pitchers we could sign up.

This is the guy who couldnt get a game for the country that provided us such world class spinners as Paul Adams, Pat Symcox, Nicky Boje and Imran Tahir amongst others

Was looking pretty dire at 1/156, brilliant fightback to take 5/44. Anything under 280- 300 will be good effort!

Our conditions are a tad more favourable - quality bowler and as I said best spinner in Australia right now. Get on board Jimbob!

Would rather us recruit Murali, atleast his action is more legitimate.

I can see his point though
Murali was reported twice in his career for chucking and Botha has been reported 4 times.
If Botha played for South Africa or India he would be labelled the biggest cheat in cricket yet because he plays for an Aussie side people consider it ok that he cheats, talk about double standards

Gotta have standards, I would rather come bottom of the shield than have a pitcher in the side.

I don't care whether the action is now legal it's a disgrace these guys can call what they do bowling

I think I'll come and have a look during the morning session tomorrow. Is anyone else doing the same?

not really untried though, drop-in pitches are a pretty well understood thing these days

agree if it was a normal pitch though haha.

also, with the people talking about botha and murali, they have been reported for chucking but cleared every time!

granted they did basically change the rules for murali, but thats beside the point. they both have (just) legal actions

The first ball bowled at the redeveloped oval. Not bad for a phone camera from the top tier of the Western stand. (Cropped to show the action)

Apologies for the size, but the upload limit held back most of the shot.
