Seriously?? You think his action was ok?

I can see his point though
Murali was reported twice in his career for chucking and Botha has been reported 4 times.
If Botha played for South Africa or India he would be labelled the biggest cheat in cricket yet because he plays for an Aussie side people consider it ok that he cheats, talk about double standards

Whether he is reported twice, four times or ten times is irrelavant. The fact is he has been cleared every time he has been tested. Get over it, seriously. Any Joe Blow first umpire can report a player,

PS If you're inferring that I would label Murali a cheat, then your wrong.

Fantastic if that's the case.

Biggest shield crowd since we won it way back in the mid 90s.

Need to knock over their tail as quickly as we can today. Hopefully Head can continue his good form, and need Klinger to get out of his Redback slump

Nevermind that the testing proved he was in breach of the rules, so they altered the rules to suit. Actually, they did that twice. Each time that he'd been called, the umpires were proved by testing to be dead right that he was throwing as laid out in the laws.

I for one am not ok with Botha, despite the fact he's playing for SA and getting a heap of wickets. I think he has an illegal action. Or at least regularly illegal. Tait, Lee, Harbhajan are others of recent times with the same problem. The Murali debacle as opened a can of worms they can't control now. The only solution I can think of is give every player who bowls some sort of sensor on their arms to call no balls automatically.

I think there a few other things involved in the chucking debate as well.

I'm not ok with pacemen having illegal actions but in saying that I don't think it has as big an impact as when a spinner has an illegal action, with the spinner it allows them to impart extremely more spin and sharper angles than ordinarily they could get.

The other thing I consider as well is that in Muralis case I don't think he was a deliberate cheat, it was more a case of he had an action which he couldn't help and he was clearly a chucker.

Where these days I think a lot of the spinners with dodgy actions have on purposely developed the action because of the advantage it gives and if they wanted to they could bowl with a 'normal' action. This is whats scary about the ICC rules. What happens when the next great spinner comes from India and he bowls with a action 2 degrees more than legal. The mark will just move again, where will it stop.

Great innings by Agar, gone for 93. Good catch down the leg side by Ludeman. Lawford has two wickets.

At 6/200 you're thinking you're a good chance to hold them to 250-280. Not the Redbacks!
