Well it shows he loves football and if nothing better is on offer he will still contribute.
Coaching kids is very rewarding especially talented kids of that age. Well done Ron and Sturt.

The cynic in me is thinking that Moloney might be gone early if things dont start well and guess who will be there to step in

He had some success with the Eag's U/19s before he took over the league side. Think they may have won 3 premierships in a row (1998, 1999, 2000) IIRC.

What a privelaged gorup of kids to be playing under Ronny. They will be able to learn so much.

Anyone think that he may be positioning himself for the State U18 job?

Ron is excellent coaching young lads but doesn't always deal well with older stronger minded players.
Premierships at Flinders Park and the Eagles U17's ( x3) is quite a body of work that is hard to argue with, he should do a nice job for Sturt!

Its a pity Ron didn't show more interest in the South program if rates the 18's so highly.

I would agree with that, having seen them since 2005. Had/have good players, but the team never seemed to play well over the whole season, just like the league team rarely makes the finals.

Not so sure about South u/18's not being successful, Tony Bamford and the club are putting a lot of resources into this group and u/16 and as from next year improvement will be very noticeable.
