I first saw it around 3 years ago IIRC, but don't know exactly where and when exactly it occurred.

Don't think so. That 2005 div 4 GF was a disgrace from the stories I've heard and obviously was dealt with. Seen only 2 games in my time with supporters running on the ground punching on. Saw the 2003 SFL GF which was the biggest fight I've ever seen full stop and stopped the A grade game and cops raided the ground.

Who was the 03 GF between?

Worst thing about 05 was it was not fights as much as some filthy cheap shots. I have the DVD. You see Tony Zanker get his eye socket destroyed in a disgusting act.

How good a player was Zanker. Remember watching Campbelltown Magill v Kenilworth/Burnside one day and between him and Gilmour I reckon was 90 possesions. Just dominated.

03 was Valleys v Noarlunga but every man and his dog was involved, it just errupted and there were seperate brawls everywhere that just got bigger and bigger and i was originally sitting 100m away from the initial trouble and in the end everyone knew someone who was getting picked on and then over 70-80 people are punching on and everyone else is trying to seperate them. I remember looking around just waiting to be whacked just pissed people charged up everywhere.

I was unpacking some boxes today and found the photos from the day, Zanks black eye, bandage around Maccas head, Bluey had his jaw rebroken - Louie Martin who knicked a vain in his head and it took ambo's to stop the bleeding - ,then at quarter time someone took a cheap shot at @neverwasgood and two of our spectators had to drag him barely conscious to the huddle.

That wasn't before his brother got the same treatment and so did Andy Lee.

and that was all before quarter time

It's since been rumoured that @Carey actually instigated the after match brawls. ;)

Just stating the facts. It's the entire league that thinks your D grade are Dicks actually if we are going to start name calling.

..

Haha that post didn't last long either. Was it the fact you said you don't care about the success of your B, C and D grade. Probably a good idea to rewrite that one boss.

Yours Sincerely, The Sook :D

No not all. To be honest, I don't really care about the success of our B, C & D grade. We've had success in our reserves and C grade over the years. We haven't won an A grade flag since 1994. That is our main focus.

The post didn't last long because I reconsidered why I was bothering justifying anything to outsiders about our D grade once again. But, if you would like to come and watch them, I can arrange to have you in the changerooms and listen to what goes on. Then you can have a beer with the blokes afterwards and ask them yourself why they are playing D grade. Quite a few of them are your age, if not older so you'll feel right at home :)

Incorrect FC. Didn't instigate anything simply reacted to my brother getting a couple of nice ones to the chin which he deserved I might add but when the boots started so did I. Ended in a fair old 'scuffle'

I just remember walking back to the changerooms and a couple of blokes on the sidelines calling some chick a slut - and then the Munros got involved.

then I saw a baton being pulled from someones back pocket and I just ran. I'd had more than enough.

Far out. Is that sort of stuff the norm in the lower grades of SAAFL. In my 30 odd years of hills footy I've only just witnessed (2 weekends ago) a headbutt from a S/C footballer, which is the worst thing I've actually seen on a footy field. Have heard of some shocking things in our country div (old div 2) but never witnessed anything over the top like that footage. What SAAFL div & teams would be the most likely to punch on like that, so I can venture down for a look.
