You blokes in recent history have won flags in div 7 and div 7 reserves when you were in div 2. You have won more flags in that time as 3rd and 4th tier sides than both of this years premiership contenders combined as their first and second sides have. You can't pick and choose the comp is too tough when you feel like it.

yes yes div 1 clubs have great depth shocs, uni, henley

its the bottom of the barrel agrade clubs who have had the privelage for so long that the concept of cgraders playing agraders has become a normal thing, and any idea of cgraders playing cgraders only is outrageous! how dare they request an equal playing field

How is it an equal playing field when Adelaide Uni play Henley or SHOC's in the GF 4/5 years and never get promoted?
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

all for a higher participation rate mate, for all clubs with 4 sides

A NEW CONCEPT....

# give all clubs with 4 sides the privelage of a cgrade super league, with 2 divisions (div 8 & div 9)

--> the leagues blue chip clubs rake in the revenue for the league and participation rate booms

# div 7 now with their remaining flaking clubs of mp, av, north pines, wingfield, requiring another 4 or 5 clubs can be made up of sides from c1, c2, c3

--> the agrade clubs wont give a damn, as long as their cgrade sides to be used as their stepping stones theyre happy. and the whole sacrificial cgrade lambs concept remains intact but instead the league now has an additional superior league set to make the quality of its div 1 ranks even stronger

I understand. I actually think your idea has some merit. I just don't think it will happen.

so rather than the blue chip clubs being blended in with the minorities

the minorities can remain amoungst minorities

clubs with 4 teams be rewarded with equal playing fields

and the div 7 batch job comp can be made up of bottom of barrel agrade clubs along with cgrade sides who dont have
dgrade sides (minorities with minorities) this way too, agrade clubs with only 1 side can remain alive.

Quit with the 'bottom of the barrell' insults. It doesn't do your argument any favours.

I actually would like to see A's v A's only. I just think it's a cop out that you only call for it when your C's aren't sitting top.

So, essentially Division 7 becomes a "Development Division"

# Any A-grade club whether it has only 1 or 2 sides can remain alive and DO NOT have to merge (MP & Flinders Uni)

# if an agrade side has 2 sides it can still play on the same day at the same ground (north pines, angle vale)

# The CGrade Super League is established, the league offers its blue chip clubs (with 4 sides) to play against blue chip clubs only, providing 25 players per side, and enhancing the quality of the div 1 & div 2 ranks because these clubs with happier environments can only get bigger making the league bigger, because the better div 1 football is, the better & bigger the C9AFL can be withing South Australia

we havent been top in div 7 since 2009, since then highlights havent been too high

had 2 years of hell in div 6
finished 3rd in 2012 - mitchell park the big fish in a small pond
finished 8th in 2013 - ingle farm the big fish in a small pond
finished 5th/6th in 2014 - smithfield the big fish in a small pond

What about Adelaide Uni's poor E&F grades, playing against elite athletes from C&D grades?

If we beat Modbury this week Henley will be playing finals!

Word is Modbury are going to drop a heap of players down coz the bye they have in div 3.

Elimination final for them this week!

hear it comes again, no doubt a few fringe players who have chopped between C & B grade will get a run but that is also because competition for spots in our 2's is very heavy right now as well as our B's having 2 weeks off due to finishing minor premiers.. when you say a heap of players its a bit dramatic, i dont see the coach dropping his gun midfielders or start players for that matter.. More than likely blokes on the cusp or those needing a run (who would of played a few c grade games this year anyway). We will try to not a few of our fringe B graders damage the confidence of your A grade squad mate.. dont worry..

should be a massive game with a decent crowd at MFC this week, doubt many will go and watch the Kilburn drubbing so hopefully we get some great home support.

TBH I'd prefer us playing in a close game, rather than one like on the weekend just gone. We need a tight, physical contest as rehearsal for finals matches.

Is the game scheduled for Modbury or the other oval you've been using?

We will do our best to provide a decent showing Q..

certainly at Modbury this week mate, everyone has been kept off the deck and training elsewhere and with not much rain forecast this week it should be in great nick... best its looked this time of year for a long time.. hoping for a good turn out supporters wise wiht you guys just down the road and our A's being the only away game.

so its weeks like this where a possible contingency of div 3 reserve footballers could slip down to division 7 for 1 week and knock off a little battler club in houghton off the top spot, and possibly destroy that little clubs development and meanwhile those div 3 reserve boys will go back to div 3 a week later, all to never see div 7 again, meanwhile leaving the poor houghton smashed off its perch and now without a minor premiership

can see why youve recently stated youd prefer A v A league only Q
