SAAFL Division 7 2014

Postby Q. » Mon Aug 18, 2014 11:35 am

It was a point from where I was standing, which was in the square. The field umpire overturned one of our goals in the first so I'm sure if he would have done the same if he felt the need.

Also, no compliant was made, stop saying there was to justify your unsubstantiated rant last week.

I was just outside the goal square.. and it sailed over my head and inside the goal post, but the umpire was on the coaches box side so was hard for him to make a call.. either way, had no change to the outcome of the day.

And it's a bit rich to complain about our supporters. It's fair to say your boys were about as humble in victory as we were gracious in defeat.

Don't worry marbles me old mate, your D grade sandbaggers are still up there. :D

Good on Smiffies ressies to for sneaking in to the 5 after looking like their season was done. They could be very dangerous in the finals. :D

Jamie Lane playing in the 2's kicked 21 goals on the weekend....

Disciplinary reasons.

Why else? He didn't get to last weeks game on time therefore didn't play then, he wasn't at training during the week.

I know why I don't post on here much anymore, there's no point in posting facts.

It has nothing to do with "me", Saturday was the first time I've ventured out there for a few years and that was only because I umpired early games in the country and was driving past.
I was a bit miffed to see him in the 2's, I asked the question and was given the reason. I think their magoo's will cause some damage in September from what I saw and after talking to a couple of old mates, it was the biggest B Grade win that we could recall and the longest winning streak.

Thought there was some ordinary and unnecessary actions and comments by supporters after the final siren but you get that in such a close game.. and im not referring to they young lads behind the goals who were adamant i had a spray tan and reminded me of this alteast 8 times a quarter.. didnt have the heart to tell them id just got back from Europe.. Bless em.

Either way we have made it now and look to the next challenge.

Was quite hostile during and after. I can only imagine how satisfying those beers tasted after and well played to you blokes really!

We have a hilarious bunch behind the goals or on the hill at HDFC regularly. Some of the best sledges i've ever heard have come from those blokes when they're up and about.

Funny to see Ricky O'Loughlin on North Pines team sheet on sportingpulse, seeing he was in Sydney watching swans play

So true. I don't think too many care about being dropped for a game.
