Sando wields axe

Postby Caramels » Tue Nov 19, 2013 1:17 pm

I am hearing that Sanderson has told a couple of long time club servants they are no longer required.

Barry Downes is one, the other I cannot name at the moment but I have it on very good authority that this took place earlier today.

You can bet there will be some kickbacks about Barry, he has been involved since the beginning and has served the club with distinction.

It would be for the good of football in South Australia, we shouldn't be narrow minded when discussing this.

perhaps all of the SANFL clubs can provide "top up" club support staff on a rotation type basis? Can only do them good to be working with the proffesionals within the AFL clubs.....

I would imagine the volunteers at AFC do their job the same or not as well as many SANFL volunteers. You wouldn't be mentored, you would be looked down upon and used until you realised you were being used. The difference is you would be in the away change rooms of your SANFL club.
