Very good batting by Warner and Clarke, bat the rest of the day out and set them plenty, no way would I give them an hour tonight

Devastating even.

What I'm liking about this match is that the Aussies are continuing the momentum - something we have struggled with in the past couple of series.

Ashes First Test Live Discussion

Warner gone for 124, dispatched Broad 10 rows back and then out a couple of balls later. Great knock and has well and truly cemented his spot at the top of the order

Clarke is not the kind of captain to set a totally unachievable score to chase down, tea is in about 20 minutes so assuming the lead is about 450 at tea I think he will bat another hour after tea, around 500-520 lead. Poms are not going to try and chase down the runs so plenty of time is needed to bowl them out, plus there are concerns about the rain.
