Ten axes Before The Game

EXCLUSIVE: Long running AFL football show Before the Game has been axed by TEN.

A TEN spokesperson confirmed to TV Tonight, “Before The Game will not be returning in 2014.

“Thank you to Roving Enterprises and the cast of After The Game and then Before The Game, who did a great job over the past 11 years.”

Dave Hughes recently announced his departure as a permanent host of The Project, but the latest move now sheds more light on his commitments with TEN.

Before the Game also Andrew Maher, Mick Molloy, Ryan Fitzgerald, Anthony Lehmann and Neroli Meadows.

I thought Sam Lane was quite easy on the optic nerve.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Not at all, The Footy Show is perfect for people who aren't actually interested in football. Or intelligent discussion.

It's highly unwatchable for people who want analysis of the upcoming games. Or Intelligent discussion.

Have to agree with Boon- I find myself watching AFL 360 on thursday nights in place of the footy show. in the 90's it was good but its really lost it since Eddie left (NEVER thought i would say that).

i think you guys may take it to seriously. It's never been a anylitical (unsure on spelling) type of footy show. I just find it entertaining. With spurts of serious footy talk.

Its not about footy, its not funny, and its not interesting. Its just 3 unfunny, middle aged men hanging out, trying to be cool around the young footballers, who usually look uncomfortable to be there. The only half decent thing is Almost Footy Legends, and the best one never wins, coz the one where someone gets hit in the dick with the ball always does.

There's the kicker. It may be because I've been out of the football club mentality for some years now, where dick jokes and calling each other dickheads is widely regarded as hilarious, but I simply find Newman insufferable and Brayshaw unbearable. Coming out dressed up in womens clothes or the like.....yep, hilarious.

The two or three 5 minute segments I have watched in the last 5 years have been shit.
