3 spoons is nowhere near as embarrassing as handing back 3 premiership cups and being kicked from the AFL for being filthy drug cheat scum.

what's there to worry about??? Flags a flag... :D

you'd need more then an assist from the AFL to get your next one... I'd be hoping for 17 teams to forfiet to have any chance of picking up number 17 if i was a blues supporter... :)

Melbourne's media probably is better than Adelaide's in terms of journalistic competence.

It was their total bias towards the old central Melbourne teams that got up my nose when I lived there.
Even Geelong is barely acceptable until they look like being the only prospect for an almost Melbourne premiership win.
(And, of course, they turn the Swans back into "Souths" when they look like certainties to win.)

Have you read a Herald Sun or Age or listened to SEN in the last 15 years?
I'm surprised with how unbiased they are and the coverage they have of clubs virtually none would care about.

full disclosure, i do like biased commentary on the radio, it is great hearing rowey screaming for the crows to win (and im sure port fans like hearing timmy ginevar too)

but in terms of afl journalism, melbourne's is hands down better. the herald sun has much better analysis imo. and as wedgie said, you hear analysis about other clubs, which is the main reason why i read it.

despite his haters, i actually think rucci does a good job, but obviously he only writes about the crows and the power

i still like 5aa sports show in the winter though. i used to think mick malthouse was a complete tool, but then you hear him on radio, particularly that year where he wasnt coaching, and he sounds like a really smart guy. just has that grumpy coach persona when he is in coach mode.

yeah i could definitely see that. guess you switch it over to ABC?

i do like that they still keep a pretty balanced view of the game mostly though, i.e they still tell it like it is when the crows are playing crap, but i enjoy the fact that i am barracking along with them, hoping the crows will play better etc. on radio, it brings you closer to the game imo.

last year they had eddie doing a biased commentary for a collingwood game on fox, did anyone hear it? seems like an interesting idea

with digital radio and TV, i can definitely see multicast commentary being a commonplace thing. i might be mistaken but i think it happens for some EPL games as well.

I lived in Melbourne for 10 years (January 1999 until March 2009) and listened to their radio broadcasts, Telecasts, and subscribed to The Age.
