We had a Winchester lever action. Think we may have purchased it from a different party though.

On the telescopic sights. I had 3 of them and they went real quick at the asking price.

Pretty sure I have deveLoped a system with gumtree that appears to work.

I left a one hour gap Friday after work when I knew I had to be home and had 3 people come including a special man of Asian origins who spoke limited engrish. I had left one of my sheds open and it is full of tools. He said "Preeze Mishta I look at Tool". I told him I was already in a relationship but he could have a quick look. I have also set up a 3 hour window Sunday where I have 3-4 people coming for small shit and have sold the fridge and washing machine. I told him I would prep the shed for Sundays sale and he said " I bring all friends". To his credit he grabbed a couple of spanners a mallet and a Fu@& knows and said $10.

I think the time window on gumtree with leaving sale items out may be the way to go. I got the shits with waiting for individuals and had a couple that didnt turn up. I guess between 12 and 3 Sunday I will find out just how effective it is but made $80 in the hour Friday and am hoping to get $300-$400 Sunday albeit that $250 of it is in 2 items.

Thanks to everyone who offered me advice on this thread or bought stuff (even if they haven't picked it up yet FC ;) )

Final result $365 in 2 hours. More than I have ever made from any pain in the ass 8 hour garage sale. The only no show was someone coming for a $10 dining table. Going to set up another 2-3 hour block with 10-15 items in 2 Sundays time and have a 4 sale table of goods already priced, it seems to work. Blokes salivate over tools

Got engaged last night and already got "should we put that away for the wedding" :o but I'm old fashioned and believe father of the bride should pay for everything :)

Definitely a couple of quiet Shandis on the cards next weekend

Had a dog kennel advertised for $40 and it is worth much much more in excellent condition for your big dogs. Some clown rang and said they will pay $25 CASH. Deliver it to Unley and they will give me a hand unloading it. My life maturity allowed me to politely decline the reasonably insulting offer

Friend had a garage sale on the weekend. I told them to tape their cd's and dvd's they had for sale. They didn't listen to me and a few CD's and DVD's got pinched. I warned them to do it. I have mine planned in a few week end time already offloading a lot of stuff

My sister came and took a trailer load of stuff from my Dads estate and drive it back to Mt Gambier for a garage sale or two. She had learnt the hard way, I'm sticking with my multiple item Gumtree time blocks. Next one set for tomorrow night is...
Drill bits $35
Dog kennel $40
Gun part $20
Total $95

I've had probably 5 garage sales in my life. Only 2 of them have netted more than a hundred.
