Lawford would be handy if a fight breaks out

Think back to back tons for Ross

They will be looking for an opening bat so while Lawfords innings was great, i doubt he would come into consideration.

Would be out of Raph or Tim Evans IMO.

Also, I did hear that McDonald is back bowling in the nets and hitting the ball nicely and not far away from a return

Raphael has scored a 50 v the DLCA, 50 against a strong NSW 2nd XI and a near 50 in club cricket in the past couple of weeks.

It's out of him and Evans for Phil Hughes' spot....

Ross more a middle order player.

Would they go with youth and put Kelvin Smith in there to open? I'd love to see this. Reckon he's a class act.

Would be great to have Smith and Head in the top three after so many years of the team dominated by interstate recruits.

even without hughes that team looks pretty decent. would be nice to see raphael make some runs, he has been given a few chances but never really taken it yet. guessing they wont play zampa up in qld. interesting that worrall got the nod ahead of lawford, though i have no idea what their district form has been like (you guys might know)

17.25 ave
9 wkts
30.88 ave

WORRALL
28 runs
9.33 average
11 wkts

Can make a case for either being selected for this game
Trent's 265 didn't impress enough people at this stage
Given the talent to hit 265 , one would think his turn will come in a SA team again

Lawford wont play for SA as a batsmen.

Worrall bowled very well against TTG Sunday and alot sharper than previously. Few lads who face him regulalry said he has picked up a yard of pace sice coming back from injury early in the year.

Hence why he was picked in the squad. If Shrek took a bag of wickets on a flat deck like he batted on he may have forced his way in. Just means my bar takings at the club remain high with the big fella still around

And others

Have not seen Trent Lawford play at all
Lawford is obviously a better batsman than Worrall
How do they compare as bowlers ?

Two different bowlers

Lawford bowls a heavy ball, nips them around.

Worrall swings them at around the 135km/hish.
