Carlton 2014

Talk on the national game

Dear Mick (pt 10) ****parental guidance recommended****

Till now, I've refrained from the immediate feedback that you so desire. Till now, I've refrained Paul Roos style. But I, and copious amounts of Carlton faithful, sick and tired of you dragging us down to Collingwood's level, have had enough. So here goes.

YOU.

ARE.

A.

SHIT.

COACH.

Yes, SHIT. You heard (read it) now get over it.

You've completely ruined this once mighty club and I for one have had a complete and utter gutful.

You might've had your day, like Pagan and Parkin before you, your days are up. Gone, done. Dusted. Put some glad wrap around it, it's forensic science.

Your "game plan"* is past its due date. So much so that the milk is unable to pass through the throat of the Paul's 3 ltr plastic bottle, it's so stale, curdled in fact that it chokes up, much like most Carlton supporters, looking at the disheveled mess you've got us into.

Let me for a minute be self indulgent..... last week I went easy on the rant. A week where we lost to a top 4 side who are 'ordinary' in Geelong. This week, we play some sort of game plan that a VFL C's side would almost admire.

At one point during the second quarter we had 18 blokes behind the ball and all 18 behind centre. Yet, HOW THE **** do we still let them take an uncontested mark inside their forward 20? UNCONTESTED!!! Not once Mick, not twice, THREE ******* TIMES. HOW THE **** MICK? You get paid BIG ******* DOLLARS to ensure this sort of ineptitude doesn't happen! When is the last time we had a third man up a contest and spoil? Actually, when have we had a second man up at a contest????

Last time I checked that was up to YOU to determine how our backline was set up. Last time I checked it was up to YOU who determined who got who in marking contests. Last time I checked, it was YOU who determined who matched up with who. Don't blame the shit ******* line coaches you employed. It's your responsibility, just the same as it was Ratten who was sacked after a year BETTER than yours was, after worse injuries.

I was at the MCG in the dark days when we got pumped by Collingwood in the early 2000's and we were completely clueless on field. Has much changed except for the fact our coach's salary has leapt 1000% and our expectations have leapt similarly?

And this was with your love child Daisy Thomas out. Imagine the damage if he'd played?

* going back to your game plan - how are we going to kick goals when we have all 18 in our half and get a kick out to 'half forward' where they have 3 blokes by themselves, when we are 7 goals down? Last I checked my 100 per month foxtel coverage, IT DOESN'T EQUATE TO WINNING a game of football - at any level.

You........*******.........Idiot.

Now.

You'll no doubt bang on in your press conference about our injuries, losing Murphy early in the second stuffing up our rotations etc. Let's face it, your abrasiveness at press conferences dances around your basic ineptitude at football tactics in the modern environment. Go back to enjoying the basics of Channel 7 Saturday Night footy secondary commentary God knows I enjoyed it a damn site more than being at Adelaide Oval tonight.

And in summary, please, please **** off.

On 5AA Kane Cornes said that Carlton did a good job of tagging Broadbent but they should have maybe tagged Gray or Boak

Wasn't Judd "running" with Gray in the 2nd and 3rd?

It's a member vote. Overwhelmingly it's the one on the right that will win and is the one we used from the 1920's to 1990's
