That is a good signing, so much respect for this guy with what he went through and to still seem so strong in the public eye.

agreed.. champion.

McVeigh is a champ. I was quite emotional after the 2012 GF, but seeing him with his baby was too much.

Swan for life.

its not these old workhorses you have to worry about, richards and mcveigh were never leaving ever, but its your younger up and coming guys that you have to worry about. and armstrong lamb, mumford, white, everitt were all decent depth players (with the exception of mumford, he was a first grader) that you wont have if/when injuries strike this year.

cant deny that depth has been hurt by buddy coming up to sydney, espsecially in your rucks. with pyke and mummy there it was one of the better ruck divisions in the league, maybe only the clubs out west had better ones. but now it pyke goes down you will be in a world of pain.

still not doom and gloom as some people are predicting, and i still think you will finish top 4 without too much worries, though a spate of injures wont be handled as well as it has been in the past.

You obviously didn't watch any of Armstrong's games.

Everitt played a couple of serviceable games over three years.

White would play one decent game then a couple of shockers.

Sydney are in short rebuild phase that should set us up for the next 9 years. ;)

Lamb was okay. Fringe player at best.

Mumford leaving isn't ideal, but Sydney since Paul Roos took over has given up players to get players.

Pretty fair summation Giant. I think going forward it might prove costly. White was more of a case of lost opportunity on the player's behalf. He was on notice when offered up for trade as part of the Tippett deal and didn't really fire up last year often enough. The jury is still out on whether or not he can become a consistent AFL Footballer.

My view on the Swans is they've shit in their own nests to recruit someone they didn't need. It's cost them their COLA and list management will be a challenge when they are paying out money for a dude who has retired.

It is a worry if caro hears a whisper, although I will worry if it is a page written in the age before gossip on TV.

Hanna's is back, now just got to hope O'Keefe starts playing good footy.
