You know Port are taking the piss when Butcher starts kicking goals out of his arse ... I was right behind that 60m goal and I swear the ball rotated 45 degrees from the time it left his hand to hitting his boot.

Anyway, well played Port, sorry that it was just a training run for you, I'm sure cones would have put up more resistance.

On the plus side for the Bays, their reserves (y'know, their actual SANFL reserves side—stay with me here) beat Port 3rds by 50 points. A 202 point turnaround between the curtainraiser and the main game is spelly kinda territory.

Not surprised a that result. All clubs who voted yes should feel proud of themselves now. Wait until your turn when you get flogged then what will your reaction be.

RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

In this very religious week, it's worth noting that it was one of the Judas' of the competition crucified on the weekend.

No. Get rid of Power and Crows reserves and have an 8 team competition, with all clubs on a level playing field, like it should be.

Keep an eye out for the Easter bunny this week folks. ;)

Last week showed that comment is crap.

Why is that? its reality to many people, crowds and interest in the comp is down from last year.

Why would you use a Glenelg away game to back up a comment about crowds an interest?

had this horrible nightmare yesterday, I dreamt we played Port and lost by 25 goals.

Couldn't have been that bad could it???

What song do Port sing when they win? The Maggies song or the Power song?? :?

Highest rating sanfl game for 15 years or something in R1

Love how people can simultaneously argue that the comp is a farce both because the reserves sides are too bad AND too good.

Any thought to the notion that glenelg are just rubbish?

Take a deep breath everyone. Port embarrasses Glenelg in an SANFL competition & everyone cries foul??? I'd have thought that's a sign the competition is being restored to how it was before Crows and Power influenced the competition..... :D

You've changed your tune in a week or so... here's a couple quotes from the Norwood/Port post match:

Ted E Bear wrote:Norwood dominated all night and the scoreboard flattered Port.
Some real pretenders in that side and they will not be a threat to the better sides this year. I never knew Renouf was such a bad player

They wont get much better either.

Sydney ( well, South Melbourne ) started using it in 1961, I'm trying to find when Port first started using it. I'm going to say somewhat earlier than that.
