Rnd 5 - West v Central @ City Mazda (Sun 3/5*)

Postby Big Phil » Mon Apr 28, 2014 9:00 pm

The Bloods are yet to record a win in season 2014 and are staring down the barrel of a long season if they don't get things happening soon. The Bulldogs are having some depth concerns with a few senior players still out injured, as are the Bloods, so both sides will be desperate for the win.

West Adelaide were good for a half against the Magpies but were completely outworked after the main change, while the Bulldogs not only dropped their second consecutive home game but lost at Elizabeth to South for the first time in a long time...

The side that loses this one, will be in a bit of trouble...

West v Central

League @ 2:10pm

Broadcast Details - 107.9 LifeFM from 1:30pm

*Game was originally scheduled for Saturday night, May 3rd, but has been changed at the request of West and approval of the SANFL and CDFC

What a shambolic football club Westies is.

The draw for the Foxtel Cup was announced in November and they waited nearly six months to reschedule it to give their players some extra recovery time.

Spoon Day

The Dogs have gone soft allowing the game time to be moved so close to the event.

Will North the following week of a days less break.

In the 00's we would have said get fugged.

Well done to the doggies for coming on board and allowing the reschedule. Should only effect the reserves players that played last night.

Yeah, how does that work then. Westies ask for an extra day because of the Foxtel Cup and then go and play a bunch of ressies.
I'd ask for the game to be moved back to Sat if I was Centrals. A bit of an insult by West.

I think Centrals will bounce back if they can restrict Schmidt. Dogs by 4 goals

Spending the weekend at home. His father is extremely ill. He had been flying back the past couple of matches whilst spending time during the week with his dad. Thinking of you, Potts.

Collier and Thomo back helps. If we can capture the form of the first half against South we will win. With a bit more experience and leadership the possibility of a second half fade out should be reduced. Centrals by 18 points.

Generally speaking, the clubs cooperate with each other. What would trying to change it back achieve?

Wouldn't change it back I would never have changed it in the first place.

Happy to co-operate with other clubs but not when we are disadvantaged

What doesn't add up CN?

Look I know it wouldn't be changed back and I know CDFC would never ask for it to be changed back, but my point is still the same.
Westies asked if the game could be moved to Sunday to give them an extra day, due to their Foxtel Cup commitments, which CDFC duly agreed to, even though it gives them a disadvantage for the following week as the have a day less to recover than NAFC, their next opponents.

But then Westies go and play a bunch of ressies in the FT cup. Just saying....

So important we jag a win today. Both sides get some quality players back. We are a mile from where we should be form wise , however also have not been far away from winning a number of games. Simply must find a way to win at home today, Foxtel Cup loss earlier in the week probably hasn't helped the vibe around the place either. Reckon Still is due for a bag at league level soon, hope he gets about 8 today.
