Toby Greene's Monday Night.

Talk on the national game

Toby Greene's Monday Night.

Postby Spargo » Tue May 13, 2014 8:55 pm

Whilst most of us were tucked up in bed last night, GWS's Toby Greene ventured to a Caufield nightspot after catching the Blues/Saints game at Etihad.
His charge sheet reads;
- intent causing serious injury
- recklessly causing injury
- affray
- assault in company
- assault by kicking
- assault with a weapon
- unlawful assault
- making threats to inflict serious harm
- criminal damage
- drunk in a public place

They have thrown the book at him and haven't missed.
He's 20 years old and may have stuffed his AFL career.

Not many excuses to assualt someone. Massive fan of the one punch laws and if he does face serious court sanctions then stiff.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

While I agree the intent of them is good, you now have an issue where if you punch someone once, you get 7 years, but if you follow them to the ground and continue to hit them you get away with a 12 month suspended sentence!

Any person, AFL footballer or not, who goes out for some drinks and comes home with a charge sheet like this is a tool and deserves whatever they cop.

If it was Tony Orange instead of Toby Green there wouldn't be a wrap sheet at all its just because his an AFL footballer.

This being said He is clearly an idiot for putting himself in this scenario in the first place.

i thought the footage was pretty damming...

At first it looks like he was defending him self, then when he got taken away from the scuffle he ran back in and started to assault the other bloke. That what looks bad and that excuse of defending himself is thrown out the window!!! he went back twice if i recall correctly. i reckon he's in a bit of strife!
The only thing im not to sure about is the weapon charge, couldn't see that on the footage...
