I was surprised myself. I heard he got off before I saw any footage of it. When I saw it I was amazed he got off.

Think a reprimand would of ruled him out of the Brownlow, was never going to happen

Due to the softness of the AFL any other player would've had the book thrown at them but regardless would've been borderline criminal to miss out on a Brownlow for that.

Chris Grant wacked Nick Holland when beaten to a marking contest.
Absolutely deserved his suspension.

Come on mate, if he was still in hoops there'd be no way in hell you'd have copped a week for that! It didn't look to me like he got him in the head and any footage I saw was pretty inconclusive anyway.

If you want to have a grizzle about this weeks MRP, have a look at what Blair got nothing for and what Harlett got a week for FFS......

( I know you're dirty Stevie J copped one for whacking his head into Crowley...but that was worth a week for stupidity! )

Inconclusive footage LMAO. Selwood got four weeks for an off the ball strike and there was no way you could tell from the footage what really happened. Nah, nothing to see here folks *Brownlow betting* cough *Gold Cost suns blowjob *cough*

If he hoops or a fistfull of thunderbolt he would have gotten a week at least.

This re-inforces my point, not debunks it. They ping every other bugger but when it comes to bum$ on seats at Metricon and the Brownlow market Umpire Ablett gets a free pass. Pfft.

In fairness, they both got exactly the same penalty, one had carry over points for previous acts of stupidity so got a game.

Your not suggesting the AFL would make a decision based on finances rather than competition equality are you
