The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Anyone notice that Leigh Matthews never commentates the play? Only ever talks during stopages, set shots etc

Leigh Matthews spends all his time defending the umpiring, even when it's a blatant wrong decision, like the Suckling/Waite trip

Obvious trip, if the tackle didn't end up taking out his feet, the Hawk player was off and running down the ground as the "tackle" didn't do much more than ruffle his guernsey

A couple in that half were ridiculous, especially the one on Puopolo (I think) in the opening term that Carlton eventually butchered.

Hawthorn good to watch as usual.

Bruce and Dennis are becoming completely unlistenable to, they have absolutely no clue, every time they try to discuss the laws of the game, or umpiring decisions they show they don't know what they are talking about

As opposed to every other person in the footy world that is clear about the umpiring decisions?

Sorry, but the tackle was legal before slipping to the feet and was in the middle of the player taking a bounce. Unless the rule has changed over night then it was blatantly holding the ball.

Should just be called "comments" nothing special about them. So why do they have Harley, Carey and Richo as well. 4 comments staff for one game FFS
