Rnd 10 - Port v Eagles- Post game

Postby Wedgie » Sun Jun 15, 2014 6:56 pm

Port 18.16 124
Eagles 15.11 101

Gutsy effort by the Eagles with Port only kicking clear late in the game.

Sounded on the radio like the Eagles put up a bit of a contest.

So, is the Irishman getting deported?

Power Reserves AFL professionalism and fitness just holds out against a very determined and gallant Eagles. Suspect that the Eagles would have beaten any other SANFL side today with that effort. Boyd sensational, Powell a great captain's game, Ainger very good against quality opposition, Hall best game for the year and everyone contributed in some way. Goal to Buthchered before first bounce got Power reserves off to a flyer.
Luck is where opportunity meets preparation

There will be video, have seen the vision of it, already and it happened right in front of the camera's positioning up in the scaffolding...

Not sure why you think it will be withdrawn. I'd suspect it would be a 2-3 week holiday for Flynnie...

So you didn't see Kane go down and pretty much knocked out? Kane had his head over the footy and Flynn came in, in a clumsy manner, and got him with his hip...

Heard Port did a 20 year celebration of their 1994 premiership at this game. What was the crowd?

Stats suggest Eagles forward line is a massive threat with Grocke back in amongst Wundke and Ainger. Port not spanking sides like they were early in year, but still getting it done against the best of the rest.

No, there was a Port Adelaide Football club playing as the Magpies, just as there is in 2014. *yawns*

Not a clue as always, deserves the same as Clinch got for trying to decapitate one of your hacks.

With their own board and independent constitution in 1994.

Keep yawning though, your brain needs all the oxygen it can get.

Port Adelaide defender Daniel Flynn has been offered a two-match ban for making forceful front-on contact with Eagles midfielder Chris Kane at Alberton on Sunday.

Flynn was deemed to make high, intentional contact and that the impact of the collision – which ensured Kane played no further part in the game due to concussion – was high.

Obviously worse then it looked live.

So Clinch got three more matches than Flynn for, in the tribunal's own judgement, exactly the same conduct? High contact, intentional and high impact just FYI, both exactly the same.

Discuss.
