Round 11 - Norwood v Glenelg @ Coopers Stadium (Sat 21/6)

Postby Big Phil » Tue Jun 17, 2014 10:48 pm

The Redlegs had a great win against Sturt while the Bays were thrashed by South...

This could be a one-sided affair?

And thankfully due to concussion, Aaron Joseph won't be playing, falling over his own feet, needing to be stretchered off and then wasting everybody's time.

Unfortunately, Norwood holds the crown for the lowest score in Norwood/Glenelg matchups.

Norwood 1.3 (9) Rd 9 May 23, 2008 (CS) [ IIRC that was a night game ]

Glenelg 1.4 (10) Rd 16 July 16 2004 (CS)

Both were night games. When the Bays kicked the 1 goal the weather was appalling. When we did the weather was perfect lol. As bad as we might become sometime in the future I hope to never re-visit those days.

WTF has the past got to do with this game ?
Norwood will hit the body hard and use the skills of the game that the Bays do not possess ..... well they may possess the skills but do not have the confidence to use them.
Norwood are slowly developing into a good ( not great yet ) side that will not let this one slip. All Norwood supporters and coaching staff knew this season would be a slow start and hopefully a good finish. All going according to plan as long as we keep improving each week and keep focus on our goals.

Will be there cheering the boys on, but am expecting a long day. Norwood have completely turned their form around over the last month and to be honest I think will turn out to be a major threat again in September. Norwood by around 8 goals sadly.

jtc sadly that's exactly how I see it! I felt we had a real go in the second half against South, and that's the sort of attitude and effort I hope to see at Norwood. But I just don't see where the goals will come from.
