Has Mick Malthouse lost the plot?

Postby dedja » Mon Jul 14, 2014 11:25 pm

Mick's a grumpy old man.

His post match presses are getting more embarrassing each week, and now he's got stuck into Lingy.

His team is shit and his coaching career is in it's last throes.

His old mate has been carrying just as bad! I

I dont mind him getting shirty in the pressers, it can't be easy for the coaches to butter up to questions 15-20 min after the game, however his crack at Ling and getting frustrated with Ch7 during the game was ordinary, he has much more important things to do during the game and if I was President of Carlton Id be concerned on where his focus is directed

I would expect the journalists "union" would have had plenty of discussion behind closed doors, Mick shows us some respect and we'll show him some.

Mick must remember just after he got arseholed from Collingwood he spent a year analysing games, coaches game plans, player development at other clubs, the manner in which clubs prepare, every facet of the game and on every club he passed comment on and it would have made him a tidy little living for that time.

Time for someone to tell Mick to pull his head in.

He's past it in a coaching sense I think. He really doesn't seem to have any idea about the game anymore (IMO). For what was once one of the best coaching brains in the game he is a distant memory of that.

If he was having a go at Lingy or the camera man, at the end of the day he agrees to give Ch7 access to his time before each game. Yes Ch7 can focus on coaches losing their cool, but in football nowdays it is part of the telecast. It's just unfortunate that the Blues are providing Mick with reason to get so frustrated.

If I were Carlton fan, I'd be more concerned about Yarran's little friendly smile and chat with Buddy just after the latter had kicked another goal.

Saw that on access all areas. Wtf! You should be downright hurting that buddy is smashing you right now. If you are mates with him fair enough, I don't really have an issue with them chatting on the ground after the game but it looked like he didn't give a crap that they were getting smashed. He will be dropped for sure this week

I'd be surprised if him, along with Waite and Garlett are at Carlton next season.

Not really sure the chatting on the ground after the game is a good look when you've just been beaten.

Smiling away and chatting with an old team mate or mate can surely be done after post match happenings are completed?

Looks really bad when a team has been flogged and 30 seconds after the siren you see two blokes chatting and they're both grinning away liker they've both just had a great day.

I agree - but doing it during a game is 10 times worse.
