This is Adelaide's biggest problem. They seem focussed on naming their best line up on paper not necessarily their most healthy. Sometimes you gotta rest blokes who arent right. Who knows, you may be surprised.

That would be thinking like a responsible coach and playing the best team possible! Something selection panel need to think about a bit more.....more often anyway

its easy when you are one of the best teams in the land like your good selves.

for the crows it was season on the line. so you can see their temptation, and it seems to have backfired a bit.

Is there really a temptation though, it backfires 99.9% of time

The biggest evidence if this is just looking at finals that the healthier teams will generally go deepest

Port are still chasing a top 4 so would expect them to take risks to a degree. Nut generally I'd say most teams wont play players that arent let sat mostly fit.

West Coast's midfield is one of the least inspiring in the league. You weren't up against Hawhtorn or Sydney last week. Thompson offered very little after the first quarter and you're running Danger into the ground. In the end those blokes are still needing in a rest and you banked the loss. One of the reasons why Hawks and Geelong are where they are is they rest the players and give some of the unheralded names a run.

It seems to have backfired a bit? It normally does. Thompson in particular looked gawn by quarter time. A younger runner could have made an impression against the Weagles mids (don't know your guys as well as you admittedly).

Yeah I would agree with that. And whilst I agree that I don't rate west coasts midfield that much, they sure cut us apart on the weekend

Two players not running at full rat power will do that.
