Round 20 and all its trimmings

Talk on the national game

Re: Round 20 and all its trimmings

Leppa has to learn the art of the slow down. Letting Adelaide convert too often and keep their run-on going. Minimise the damage now and hurt them with the lack of rotations in the second half.

Not sure what else he could do. And there is still onus on the Brisbane dude to not get the guy high. He never stood upright so it wasn't really ducking

Wait till you see it on tv Benny, he put his head down and rammed into his opponent

It was 15m away from me

Wow with your expert knowledge of football Benny I cant believe you havnt been offered a job by an AFL side!

Not phased really Benny
I stand by my original comment though, if you are prepared to lead with your head you have to accept any injury forthcoming. Its a very dangerous practice and if the AFL are serious about protecting the head they would do something about it. A good start would be to stop paying frees to guys who duck or lead with their head

I agree with that, but I still think his movement was to protect himself rather than a "duck" which would be a dude standing up and then ducking into it

I tend to agree with benny on this one - Lynch never got the chance to straighten up and so didn't duck - he just hunkered as he saw the impact coming.
He didn't even have time to turn to make the impact a glancing one.

I don't think there was anything intentionally against the rules on either player's part, but just one of those things that can happen in a high impact sport.
(I'd worked that out by the time I was 13. That's why I switched to Hockey - I didn't want to spent a potentially long life semi-crippled.)
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!

I'm a real fan of Charlie Cameron. His instinct and pressure for a bloke his age is outstanding.

Reminds me of a young Cyril. Or Steven hill. Hopefully he gets half as good.

Surprising amount of crows supporters here. Guess it's because we are in the cheap seats and near the crows cheer squad.

Cameron hits the pack 100mph and is clean and you can't teach that. He has plenty of potential.

I know a few people who book holidays when the draw is done and a trip to Brisbane or the Gold Coast is always good to escape the cold of winter
