Having watched nearly all Liverpools pre season games and now the man city game I get the feeling Lambert is struggling abit with the expectations of being a big signing at a massive club, really seems to be snatching at his chances.

I reckon he needs to put one away soon in the EPL or there could be the beginnings of a monkey on the back

Yeah Ive seen that happen countless times at Liverpool - Morientes, Voronin, Bellamy (although he was better than the others I mentioned) - You generally end up getting what you pay for with older players (McAllister the best exception for us).

Balotelli into the lineup might help Lambert, less expectation and probably later substitution at times.

Markovic looked good, and bar a defensive lapse (that conceded the first goal) Moreno looked decent too. Still have Lallana to come in which will hopefully create better opportunities near goal.

Hull down to 10 against Stoke but lead 1-0

Late equaliser to Stoke
Terrible decision to award them a throw in when clearly came of a Stoke player. From the throw in its crossed into the box, shot comes of the post the the keeper and Shawcross taps it it.
Bruce would be rightfully fuming at the poor decision from the officials after the hard work 10 man Hull put in when they went down to10 men.
Stoke look like they did under Pullis again just throwing long a forward and hoping Crouch gets on the end of them. I can see them being one of our rivals this year.

From what I've seen up to now and it is very early days I think the teams we will be looking to do battle with at the bottom are;
Southampton.
West Brom
Leicester
QPR
Crystal Palace
Stoke

you're dead set right about the throw in and resulting goal.

Hull were down to 10 after 15 minutes then parked the bus very well and we had no adventure to our attacking, very stagnant and lacklustre. Credit to Hull, they were very tight and organised.

So many players had rubbish games for us though, it was very frustrating to watch! Diouf had no help and his touch let him down, i dont think he can play as a lone striker. Arnautovic couldnt keep the ball, N'Zonzi needs to play the defensive midfielder, Hughes had him in more of an attacking role but that didnt work. passes were played too late and communication wasnt there.

i dont think it's all doom and gloom though, we'll bounce back, there have been some handy ins and considering this i think it'll take a month or so to click together.

Stoke wont be fighting relegation this year.
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

Pretty ordinary first half. Far too many long balls.

RVP almost scored and Mata had a half chance but we didn't create much. Good first half for Di Maria though.

Man U were dog turd... long ball garbage...

whats the point of spending 60 000 000 on a guy when you are just going to punt it over his head all day...

When he got it he was good, but he'll have a sore neck tonight from watching the ball bypass the midfield all afternoon...

Lovely Saints!
Deserved after they should've at least got a point at Anfield & then controlled West Brom last week only for a draw.
Good to come from a goal down playing away.

I thought Burnley did ok

I've never seen so many missed passes or balls kicked out from a Utd team since the early 80's
Lucky to get away with a draw in the end

We had Utd guests and they were definitely the happier bunch at full time
Di Maria was ok. That's all though. Completely one footed and needs to turn inside and pass from the outside of his left boot when he's wrong footed. Not great for someone that cost £60m

Van Gaal is talking about 11 players in and out by the end of next week. United fans will be hoping they get some defenders in as the back four are terrible

Of course mate.

We need a win, that's for sure. Even just to calm a few nerves. Last time we went 5 and zip at home beating both United and Everyon at home. Palace next week is looking like a big game for both teams.
And now Colin Wanker had taken over, they'll be that added bite to the proceedings
