Round 22 - Possibilities and Probabilities.

Postby PatowalongaPirate » Thu Aug 21, 2014 7:29 pm

Port v Carlton (AO) (N)
North Melbourne v Adelaide (BA)
Essendon v Gold Coast (ES)
GWS v Collingwood (GS) (T)
Hawthorn v Geelong (MCG) (N)
West Coast v Melbourne (PS) (T)
Brisbane v Fremantle (G)
Western Bulldogs v Sydney (ES)
Richmond v St Kilda (MCG) (T)

Port, North, Essendon, Giants, Geelong, West Coast, Freo, Sydney and Richmond for mine. Some tough tipping this week.

I'm going to Adelaide Oval for the first time since AFL came to Adelaide and looking forward to it. It will remind me of the times I spent in Melbourne when I used to go to the pub after work then meander to the G or Docklands for Friday night footy.

And it will be my first AFL game live since Footy Park when Carlton beat Port last year.

FFS Mick, BRING A DECENT GAME!!!

My footy tips are stuffed so I'll pick home teams barring Port.

Geelong are throwing the game against Hawthorn. Varcoe and Kersten selected and Bews relegated to the Magoos.

Crows have been up and down all season, the outs of Wells & Harvey, surely this tips the game slightly in the Crows favour?

I've felt this year when they've been good, they've been VERY good. Downside is their poor games are well.. let's just say aren't going to attract you many premiership points!

Probablies - Port, Essendon, West Coast, Sydney and Richmond

Possiblies - Adelaide, GWS, Hawks and Freo

Disclaimer: Big outs for North and handy ins for Crows, Ward out for GWS and Pendles in for Coll 50/50, can Geelong do it again?, massive outs for Freo and wet weather tipped in QLD which suits Brisbane.

Anytime now the top teams are due to start falling away. Considering only 2 times in 20 years a team has come from outside the top 6 from the previous year to win the thing I reckon there is heaps to fight for for the clubs scrambling the bottom 4 of the 8 so they can win a final and give them selves a better chance next year....

I don't think it really matters this match. It's the one in two weeks that counts, so we'll probably drop that one LOL.

15 scoring shots to 4 halfway thru 2nd qtr, Blues would do real well to get out of this without an ugly loss
