Port need to do what they can to get Ryder. Help lobbe out in the ruck and go forward and stretch out any defence

Essendon are going to play hard ball with Ryder. They want an equal player or pick. Fair enough. Brisbane would have to be the front runners here.

Not playing hard ball.
Paddy has a lot of mates at the club and told his manager he wants Essendon fairly compensated and will not invoke the get out clause if Essendon assist him in getting to his preferred destination. Brisbane have said no to their first pick but Luenberger plus a second rounder has been mentioned.

Of course not Essendon is trying to do the right thing by everyone......and trying to get the best deal. Won't get a first rounder from Brisbane. A player and second rounder has been suggested. Essendon are also talking to the GWS as well. But not playing hard ball.

What can/will port Give up for Ryder?? What players* would Port give up to get Ryder with a decent pick

*apart from Butcher
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Ryan O'Keefe to be announced as an Assistant coach at Adelaide. I would've thought you'd need a senior coach first which my mail says Peter Sumich is the front runner.

Bit hard to gauge Day's value as its predominantly based on potential and perhaps genes. 2nd round pick probably not enough, & 1st round pick would need to be in reserve in case Ryder selects Port.

So perhaps 2nd round pick and Moore, for Day, and 1st round pick for Ryder if he chose Port - that would be a fairly handy trade period if it came into fruition :)

As a Port supporter, it would be pretty cool having an Ebert, Cornes and Day in the side next year :)

I find it hard to understand why people are looking at getting Ryder to back up their current ruckman. He had his best season this year as the number 1 ruckman in a side that played finals. To suggest he would go somewhere to play second fiddle is just plain wrong. I really hope he doesn't end up at Sydney.

Port don't need Ryder and Day, it's one or the other.
