So I expect all and sundry to come out and bag the crap out of the GC board and management for sacking a coach before the end of the contract, and fully expect all former coaches to say they would never coach there because of that...

Won't be too dissimilar when Paul Little personally pays out Hirds contract

Completely differant, Little will pay it out of his or the clubs pockets.
The AFL cant find a spare million or so to run a reserves comp but they keep sinking money into their pet projects.

Interesting, yet biased analysis of the situation.

From afar do you think McKenna was doing a good job, was the right man to take the Suns to the next step, had the support of the players etc?

What does this tell you about how Bomber Thompson rates the Adelaide FC as opposed to the Gold Coast? Maybe this is why he didn't want the Crows job because the Suns deal was already in the pipeline. Maybe it's just he was better mates with Sando than Mckenna - who knows!

He looked a bit sheepish on AFL 360 the other day when asked by Wheatley about where he would coach.

Has anyone see Jarrod Brennans tweet about McKenna's sacking. Bitter, but perhaps the truth.

Who wouldn't want to take over the GC job??? Best player in the league plus a fantastic young list plus the backing of the AFL.

Comparing apples with oranges there my friend...

Pretty sure they're both AFL sides with the same number of players so hardly apples and oranges. Maybe Bomber just wants a warmer climate to help with his arthritis.

Dangerfield polled more Brownlow votes than Ablett (injured? so what - you have to play to win) and GC are obviously a one player team based on the results from the last 8 rounds so maybe Adelaide has the better squad overall.
