If I had the option to battle Bellchambers for 1st ruck and prob. play most games as 2nd ruck OR battle Jacobs for 1st ruck or Jenkins for 2nd ruck/forward role, gee I wonder which one I would pick...

Yep, not some of our better posters best work on this one...

Eddie McGuire has confirmed that Collingwood, Brisbane, North Melbourne, Melbourne and Geelong will lodge paperwork “this afternoon” that will see a monster five-club trade finalised.

Here is a brief overview of what each club will part with and welcome.

COLLINGWOOD

IN: Pick 5, 25 (which will be on-traded to North Melbourne), Jack Crisp, Travis Varcoe, Levi Greenwood
OUT: Dayne Beams, Heritier Lumumba, Pick 25

BRISBANE:
IN: Dayne Beams
OUT: Picks 5, 25, Jack Crisp

NORTH MELBOURNE:
IN: Pick 25
OUT: Levi Greenwood

MELBOURNE:
IN: Heritier Lumumba
OUT: Mitch Clark

GEELONG:
IN: Mitch Clark
OUT: Travis Varcoe

Subject to change (draft pick).

Who wins this monstrosity of a trade?

Brisbane probably over pay.

Collingwood big winners in 2 First 22 players, pick 5 and a developing player.

Feel as if North Melbourne got a little bit, but not much jipped

Add to the fact that Brisbane went in dry on Geelong to get Bundy and they are the big winners in this year's trade period.

Wonder if that has anything to do with the contacts during "The Recruit"?

Didnt Polec want to leave Brisbane partly because of Voss?

As far as I remember it was more wanting to come home to Adelaide.

Can't believe North let Greenwood go so easily. 25 seems way unders for an established inside, goal kicking mid.

Got rid of a player we don't need and secure a good pick in the draft where we are already a fair way back.

Very smart decision IMO, why sign a guy for 4 years when he has played 1 good one in 6?

Don't bother trying to tell them anything factual about Greenwood mate. They've probably seen 3 North games this year and are experts on him.

I tried to tell them he's had the one good year after playing 11 games in the prior two years combined....they don't wanna listen.

Should be up there in the Brownlow next season. ;)

So you've invested 6 years in him, he's established himself in your side this year that finished top 4 and you're happy with pick 25 for him.....start again. No problem if you think its a good idea.

BTW, none of us are experts but are all entitled to an opinion and I think Greenwood for pick 25 is a loss for you blokes.

I'd be happy with that from him in 2015.
But feeling nervous about this trade.

2015...geez he was OK for the Pies

Time will tell but Im guessing Pick 25 will still be playing in 4 years time, not sure Greenwood will.

I'd agree with the one good year out of six argument if his one good year was two or three years ago, but with it being just a few months ago, you'd have to be thinking that maybe you got rid of him too soon, invested a lot in him and then ship him off when he finally comes good.
