Coached Sturt under 18's to the finals this year, would assume he would be going again at Unley

Wouldn't the two relegated teams get the first option to stay up?

IMO....I'm not sure Salisbury would want to... and even more so Kilburn...For them it might even be a case if they even can???...

Bottom line..... if SW have requested a "softer" Division, for reasons other than some profound mitigating circumstance not of their doing, Salisbury West should reap what it sows for its poor governance......"Suck it up", and play out the season in Div 3..... or fold.......If the league sanctions such a move, it then (as voiced previously on this forum), gives carte'blanche for every club to follow similarly when faced with the possibility of getting "smacked" for a season.

SW and Lodge should merge, seem to have a fair bit in common...

If no club is willing to take their place, then they'll stay in D3.

With due respect Q.......Another Club's preparedness to fill the void should be totally academic in this circumstance....It seems a trend that more Clubs are not learning from recent history.....SW should not be gifted a "get out of jail free card" unless there are "compelling" reasons otherwise. The say you learn from your mistakes........Perhaps a year in Div 3 will do that for them ........lets hope so.....

Absolutely. But if a club wants to take their place, then let them (though history suggests this mightn't be a good move).

Heard a few salis west boys might end up at kilburn. Guess they want to learn the hard way.

SW should have been ditched by the league some time back for behavior less than fitting. Not sure we need or want them.

I reckon both Kilburn and Salisbury would be happy to go to a lower grade next year

Can tell you Salisbury have nominated for Division 4, and I very much doubt external factors would change that nomination.

We took the option a few years back when Edwardstown left to end up with another 1-win season, don't think we'd make the same decision this time around.
