I got mixed up.

You don't care if clubs spend money but viciously opposed to us calling ourselves the amateur league because of it ;)

My mistake 8)

I am opposed to the hypocrisy of the SAAFL claiming to be an Amateur League but are anything but. Now that it has been renamed the C9AFL, it looks like it is finally being accepted.
The SAAFL have officially been a semi-professional competition for 20 years now, yet still field a "State Amateur Team" rather than a Ch9 Adelaide FL Rep team

I also take issue at claims that Country clubs are the cause of all the C9AFLs woes when there are clubs within C9AFL spending just as much, without the travel factor.

So no, I don't care if clubs spend money, it is semi-professional sport. Just don't try to claim a moral high-ground based on a legacy name rather than reality.

Top v bottom then in round one. Might just do what they did to us last season and forfeit. Maybe some of our players dont know what time the game starts.

I was told that there were 7-8 first-choice players out due to cricket finals, work etc.

Still, it gives Matt Whelan a chance to have a look at some other blokes around the place.
