Mawsons have been widely regarded as a bottom 2 side this year given the outs, but looking on paper they still have quite a formidable side..

Not a bad core group.. I think they may upset TOS..

Are they going to tease them?

That didn't take long - sack the coach on a Tuesday and appoint the new coach by Thursday,,,,,,,,,Interesting. So If i was a betting man maybe they had a coach ready to go before you sacked the current coach.

What do you think demon juke. They just went to training Tuesday, tossed a coin and decided if heads come up they would sack the coach. Of course they discussed this over the later part of the weekend and Monday and probably made a decision. Then they looked around and tried to work out how best to go forward. Joss was obvious that decision. However judging by how bad the club is run they could have just picked the first person that arrived to training Thursday night.

It amazes me what some people will write without thinking about if.

They had a great side, they whooped the eventual premiers that year but it all turned to shit the next year.

Reggie Wanganeen will be a handy "IN" for Smithfield this week.

Joss coached the last year of 2 sides which was 2010.is this the year you are talking about LM ?had a look at 2010 results you won 9 lost 9 and finished 6th which suggests to me it wasn't such a great side

Tomorrow will give a greater indication of just how good Smithfield are.

When was the last time they would've faced a side the calibre and structure of Lockleys? At a guess would've been a while, and have had some softer games along the way - if they're not fully prepared for tomorrow then I think we will see Lockleys go a game clear on top..

Yeah, poorly worded, I thought they had a better side than what their position suggested.

I think it shows no respect for the current coach that you have been planning this for weeks and with one of the players that is playing under that coach, wonder why you 0-3 because maybe everybody hasn't been heading in the same direction.

Ch9 AFL Division 6 - 2015

Postby Groover » Fri May 01, 2015 7:13 pm

Geez! Give you guys an inch of rope to speculate with and you take a mile!
Facts: Joss was only approached for the coaching position AFTER the club and knowlesy went their seperate ways.
The club was prepared to go ahead with an interim coach for the time being, but due to Joss' enthusiasm to fill the position, this road was never taken.

I hope that sets most people straight and we can get on with this weekend, im hopeful we can get a win and put what has happened this week behind us.

That's funny Groover my source had you sacking the coach last week, but good luck to yourself for the year as you have stayed loyal to the cause in the good and bad times.

Your source may have been right, I don't know, but all I can tell you is there was no 'plan B' once the wheels were in motion.
