Heard much more about North Pines?

There is a meeting for Div 7 clubs after the delegates meeting on Monday night to vote on an 8 team A grade comp and a 6 team B grade comp or leave it as is. Guess that will finalise our Div. no mention of Wingfield so one would presume that's been put to bed.

Looking thru the clearances there are some handy players coming in to clubs and I expect Div 7 to be very competitive with no one dominating. Houghton and Adelaide Uni clearly up there, Salisbury West depends on how many they have retained from Div 4, St. Paul's if they gel well, Angle Vale with Varcoe a standout, Mitchell Park have some handy ins and we expect to go OK, Flinders Uni are are a passionate club who will improve and if North Pines end up in A's we all know what they are capable of. Bring it on can't wait. :D

Do you really want me to dig out your posts where you have done exactly that?

Well despite the poor use of the word "listen" on a digital forum, I can't really argue against you, if thats your opinion of me, then that's fine. No skin of my nose!

Keep in mind I don't come from an australian rules football background, my family played rugby union and basketball, so the cultural "this is how we've always done it" sort of thinking really does confuse me. Mitchell Park and the lower divisions are also unique I reckon. The specifics about the administration and running of these clubs is inherently different to what I would suggest your experiences are.

Jetters wrote:as well as your stupidity and ignorance to attribute fault on your club for it's obvious failings.
Please refer to previous quote. You have no idea about the fundamental and unavoidable difficulties Mitchell Park have faced and continue to face.

That doesn't excuse the failings we have, which are numerous, and we are doing our best to resolve.

Jetters wrote:Also, your ridiculous use of unnecessary long words and awkward sentences makes you sound like an idiot....it's a footy forum!
I type what comes into my head, when I'm responding with multiple people at once I often don't have time to perfect my language and structure.

Really I can't win, but thats alright, I don't hold your opinion very high in my thoughts.

If this is the case, then put North Pines in as an A Grade side and problem solvered and everyone is happy. Except for maybe a couple of D7R peeps.

Why isn't the integrity of their competition important?

Don't they pay their subscription fees?

The integrity of the D7R competition is important and I have empathy for our* plight, but the senior competition in the division should take priority. So if North Pines, or Wingfield for that matter, can only field one side, IMO they should be in D7 and not D7R.

* I will be playing D7R

Yes just heard that Q. Hope it works for them. I guess the league will have a firmer idea of North Pines and Salisbury West after their trial tonight. It's not ideal as we know but at least it's getting closer to resolution. The difficulty is that SW NP and Wingfield can only muster 1 team, my personal view would be to play them all A's in a 9 team comp but it would become another minefield for the ressies. Few more sleeps and we will know. It's a bit like waiting for Santa to come, lack of sleep, excitement and you know you're getting something but you don't know what.

Enough for one team. I would imagine they would be very strong in the reserves. Dudley has moved on I'm hearing.

Norm you know exactly where Dudley has gone if my info is correct. Also angle vale have picked up a quality player in Chris Stephens who made the div 7 team of the year in 2012 if my memory is correct.

Are you two actually serious with this line of argument? No joke its marbles levels of stupidity.

You're comparing a club, which got flogged by an average margin of 30 goals in the A's and couldn't field a side in the B's and therefore rightly got relegated.

To clubs who were very competitive in D7 last year, nominated for D7, but got put in D8 anyway.

Again....Morell....which to ( I presume you meant two) clubs nominated for D7 but finished in D8..... or are we telling lies to make a point. :^o

Morell, just give up mate. Despite the fact I (surprisingly) agree with alot of what you have said, its like bare knuckle punching the great wall of China, you can try your damned hardest, but you have slim to no chance of getting through..

Think div 7 have a year of pain ahead, and lets hope the clubs who have only 1 side can manufacture growth and re-enter div 7 with 2 sides, thus allowing Marbles his super C grade division

We've been unequivocally told to move on mate. The fine scholars of this here thread have had enough.

But, no, I very specifically meant to, not two. As in, you're comparing club x to club y. Poorly worded on my behalf.

Whilst it means nothing, if the rumours are true and they had a competitive squad for D6, but have dropped down due to not having a coach, you boys will have a massive fight on your hands for your elusive flag *

Why not run Div 7 as a single grade division and place the reserves teams in one of the C divisions? Coordinate so that the games match up with the Division 7 games and then it becomes irrelevant if a club has 1, 2 or 10 teams.
