Talk on the national game

I reckon we will have 3 changes from our first round loss. I reckon Hickey to replace Longer, Billings for Saad and Acres for Roberton.

Hoping we show the same competitiveness as we did against GWS but hopefully our skill level can improve abit.

Well Longer still going at it alone with Bruce as his back up. Ive got no idea why Hickey isnt playing he is easily our best ruckman. Also thought Saad should have made way for Billings not Templeton.

They looked like winners at this time last year as well... Long, long season though.

Well we have made one change to our winning side last week with Adam Schneider returning after missing a week with a corked quad, replacing Tom Curren who has been omitted.

Hoping Longer can carry on the form he had last week maybe having the pressure of Hickey waiting in the 2's has made him lift his game but he has a big task against another up and coming ruckman in Grundy.

Might be Membrey last chance to shine otherwise i can see him being replaced by Mccartin who bagged 4 in the 2's last week and could be primed for a anzac day call up.

I think we are a big chance tonight just need to keep the pressure up all game and try to limit the mistakes we make when we have the ball.

I think this will be a good game. If Longer can get on top of Grundy in the ruck then you are a chance. But I feel the pies midfield maybe a bit better than you guys at this stage and could be the telling factor.

We make one change from our losing side to the pies last week bringing in Tom Curren for Mav Weller who is out with a calf injury.

If we can play like we did in the first qtr against the pies for 4 qtrs against the blues then we are a big chance to win but if our pressure drops off and we dont stick to Richos game plan then Carlton will win even with Judd and Yarran out.

Im hoping McCartin can have a big one this week and hold on to a few marks.

As dismal as the Dons were, thought we were very good today. Starting to assemble a potentially decent forward line with Bruce (his goal in the 2nd term was brilliant) a strong target and Membrey showing more with each outing. Lonie is a class act, so clean, while Sinclair knows where the goals are. Weller's defensive work was important.

Mid-field has some depth about it now and Longer is starting to have a presence, with Dunstan used as the sub today and Billings still on the sideline. The backline had a very easy day at the office, but I'd like to see us draft another key defender later in the year.

Should be a good match next week v the Giants.

Members work rate is first class, I was at the game last week and he worked his arse off which was much more noticeable live, definitely been a good recruit and plays that 3rd key forward role really well...

David Armitage just extended his contract by another 3 years when he still had a year to run on his old contract which should see him be a one club player which is great news for us :)
