No he didn't, as far as I know the club released a statement and that was it, so fair point.

But they also didn't front up trying to defend jaensch as being such a good bloke, and he isn't captain, and he wasn't about to play on the eve of a finals series, and he didn't just have a coaches son die due to drink driving.

I think it is those other circumstances that makes their defence of hodge a little perplexing, not the pure action itself, which was on the minor side of things.

At least he wasn't getting slapped around for being an obnoxious big headed chauvinistic drunken pig this time.

Did Campo do this in the Jaensch case??

Genuine question I was interstate when this all went down, and it didn't rate a mention in the media over there!

Good response Friday night to a poor showing the previous week in the West. Will need to take it up another notch to get over Freo, and then it's game on if we can get to the big dance.

Hodge and Lake controlled the first quarter. Lewis, Burgoyne and Mitchell stepped up to help out and Adelaide couldn't fire a shot.

The fact you have changed your club to Goodwood Saints just confirms what we already knew, you are a pathetic nobody that isn't worth wasting time over. The idea that the club you could actually have an impact on can be changed so easily proves you are in fact just a troll pure and simple, end of story. More precisely exactly what I have said all along just a bandwagon poster child but the worst kind. You don't change season to season but day to day.

Hawthorn are an awesome football team and football club. A lot of us on here have the utmost respect for them and have known, played with or coached players on their list. The fact you are on here is the reason why people don't interact on this thread. You just write utter shit that is straight out embarrassing and it was fun at times but most people get sick of it. Your like the slow kid in the corner using half witted insults like "butt hurt"," shut up loser" and the like. You don't represent Hawthorn, you represent trolls. If you were willing to have an intelligent discussion you would find this would be a very busy thread.

Ready made replacements in Ceglar & Spangher. As in previous years one or two retire or move on, and another soldiers steps up and dare I say it - "plays their role".... It will be an interesting trade come free agency period ahead. Are there other players who want to jump on board the brown & gold?

Fourpeat, sure, why not!

Something would seriously need to go wrong to not fourpeat. You will get Jono O'Rourke playing more next year...a no.2 draft pick ffs not to mention the two you said although not as good as those who they replaced. Don't be surprised if you get Carlisle either.

I think Ceglar can be as good as Hale.... he is already better than Hale when the ball is below his knees. If he learns to float forward & pluck a mark & kick a goal or two he is there. The big blokes always take that bit longer to mature in a footy sense. Spang will be just fine!

I think Ceglar has the forward part worked out ok, it was his around the ground work that kept him behind McEvoy.

Fair Call - I know McEvoy was playing real good footy at Box Hill before coming back into the Hawthorn side. I don't know that Ceglar was quite in that form. I don't mind what I have seen of him, in the games he has played. McEvoy is a handy unit tho, no star by any means, but I reckon he at least nullified both Sandilands & Nic Nat in the past 2 games. That's a fair effort.

Pretty sure Cegs had some back issues late in the year which held him up too.

Congrats to Hale and Lake, got their best footy at the hawks I reckon.

Also, the fact Lake has finished leads me to think we have either Carlisle or Henderson in our sights.

That would be Lachie, CM.

Hawthorn would consider themselves some chance of acquiring his services too, dependent of course on what eventuates with the Dangerfield situation..
