QLD 3/30.

Sending Cutting in early shows they were trying to up the scoring, did not work.

How many more wickets before they shut up shop and play for a draw?

With Forest and Burns at the crease not really IMO. They have been know to dig in when required. Get one of them and it could start falling into place.

To be fair, Ferg has had a fairly decent year. Until the last shield match, he was definitely the pick of our batsmen - quite often the only one to make runs.

Including today's knock, 729 runs at 48.60, including 3 centuries and 3 50's.
Next best out of the current players is Cossie, averaging 36.
Prior to the last match, Ferg was averaging 58.6

Can't blame him for SA's demise.

Cheers

V's Qld 100* and 65
V's NSW 15 and 0
V's VIc 140 and 4
V's Tas 19 and 11
V's WA 81 and 84
V's WA 33 and 16
V's Tas 0 and 117*
V's Vic 0 and 14
Vs Qld 2 and 107

Very inconsistent from a senior player. Agreed, he ins't the reason we've been poor, but he just adds to our inconsistency.

His post Xmas first innings have been 81,33,0,0,2.....

Might not have to worry about him next season. Word is he's livid about not getting the captaincy and is being courted by Tassie - which means he'll score about 2000 runs next season, including two triple centuries against the Redbacks.

Is that because he'd been booted from the captaincy when Chuck, I mean Johan, I mean Chucker arrived?

It might have been part of the reason for walking out......and being told your spot is not guaranteed for the next season could be another

* however I would argue that the stats for point 2 stack up, only 2 hundreds in the last 2 seasons. But given the treatment on the first issue I don't blame him looking at options.

In cricket, stats don't lie, but, last years form could well be attributed to the captaincy being taken away and the prospect of, well, playing at Prospect as often as he did Adelaide Oval. ;)
