can't do that mid season I'm afraid.

Our selection policy is very strange, but then nothing really suprises me at the moment.

I almost choked on my schnitzel and chips when I heard that.

Firstly it was Richmond who were a "top 8 side" and a "very very good football side" and now it's Brisbane. Give me a break.

Malthouse won't be sacked but also may not be resigned after the season. Rumour that we've been speaking with Stuart Dew.
Also, Murphy and Gibbs won't be traded but are obviously not the answer as leaders of this club

It would be nice to know what Carlton are doing.
different opinions coming from the board and coach.
perhaps Carlton need to make trades like St Kilda did and build from that.

I think we forget, in 2011, we missed a prelim final by a free kick! We lost the semi by 3 points in WA.

2012 our list was decimated by injury and we finished 11th.

Our list wasn't that bad - that list included Judd, Gibbs, Murphy et al.

So the team didnt continue to develop after 2011? Forgetting '12 due to injuries.

The mail is that Malthouse is safe at the moment but there is alot of anger from past players more so directed at how the club is run ie board, president etc. Apparently there is more likely to be some changes there than the coach.

Now thats from my mail which is always a bit wet these days. Hence take it as you will.

My oath!

And another gripe I have is that we gave other sides a leg up because of poor player management (IMO).

For Waite we got nothing. Garlett we got pick 61 and 79 (got Clem Smith from that). Laidler was delisted by us and picked up by Sydney. Robinson was delisted by us and picked up by Brisbane.

For a club "rebuilding" - giving other teams a free go at players who will more than likely start is plain stupid. Waite's free agency was just plain baffling. Firstly from our perspective of playing him less time than Jones is being handed this year and secondly to not get a compensation pick!

Anyway, my MAJOR gripe is that we've been to three drafts and not identified anyone to fill gaps in our list. Not only that but the player we do trade for is Thomas (Collingwood got Freeman). All that does is solve a problem we didn't have. We've now chocked up salary cap space on a mid range player.

So what do we do, instead of being able to make a huge play for Boyd from GWS, we are stuck looking at nuff nuff's like Jones, who will rightly finish up in the magoos this week or shortly thereafter.

Listening to our boss speak today, the guy who replaced kernahan..

What else could he say on behalf of the board, besides 'mick will be coach for the reminder of this season'

Is there anything else they could say to maintain the highest professionalism and protect the integrity of the football club

And NO that is not an invite for your creative humerous suggestions :)

He's damned either way. If he sacks Mick now it'll be him going against his word and being lead by the media. If he sticks to his guns, he's seen to be overseeing the Titanic and doing nothing to stop it hitting the iceberg.

People have called for calm at the club and reappointing Mick for x years to ensure stability because only 'unstable clubs sack coaches'. My thoughts on this are that someone needs to right the ship. And we can be stable, once we get rid of Mick. What I'd love to see is the same group of players play with spirit and a game plan that's not dated in the 80's (Garry Lyon's words, not mine). The appointment was badly managed and we should be doing everything we can to move on from the Kernahan mistakes that took place.

New board, new CEO, new coach, new approach.
