Think that is the issue DW, they did not have confidence in Tom Andrews at all. And to be fair, he is not probably ready yet, handy one day bowler with his left arm orthodox, but doubt he would trouble at this level. Gets all his wickets when batters try and take to him. Disagree with Zartan nowhere near Holland and Ahmed, better than Head though, agree with that part!

I agree. Andrews has played 2 games before this one and didn't exactly set the world alight. We have no depth in the spinning department and it's glaringly obvious this game

They brought Opie in and he's toiled away on a flat wicket as have all our bowlers.

Why is Head not even having a bowl??

Now trying Lehmann instead of himself, interesting!

All the spinners have got lots of turn on this pitch!

Opie was selected for his batting (compared to some of the others)

Definitely not!! If they picked on batting, then Valente or Andrews way ahead of him!

I watched SL v SA womens T20 last night. SA chasing 114 were 0/50 and cruising. They got rolled.

There is STILL hope

FFS
What the F*** happened in the last 15 minutes?
1/ WTF is Jake Lehmann bowling for?
Oh thats right, bcos the selectors F****D up !!!!!
They picked 4 pace bowlers, win the toss and BAT !!!!!!
I AGREE that you bat 1st 99% of the time BUT if you pick 4 pace bowlers and NO spinner you're basically obligated to bowl 1st if given the opportunity!
Ok, So they stuffed that up, ok lets try a part time spinner
Hmmmmmm Head, Has bowled about 200 overs for for 14 wickets in 1st class cricket at an ave of 58.85
OR
Jake Lehmann who has bowled a Grand total of 2 overs in his 1st class career !!!!!!!

These were our spin options that the selectors were confident to go with in a 5 day FINAL !!!!!!!!!

Ok Given that, youd think Head would have 1st crack but no, Lehmann takes the ball.
Full toss SIX !!!!!
Half tracker 4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There you go 5% of the total score required off 2 balls FFS

2/ Why the F**K do captains allow the ONLY slip to stand wide, like around 2nd or 3rd slip ? If ya gonna only have 1 slip, stand at 1st slip FFS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Surprise surprise, genuine edge STRAIGHT THROUGH WHERE 1ST SLIP SHOULD HAVE BEEN. Carey makes a huge dive but cant get it whilst the slip just stands there and watches it go for 4. FFS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET IT RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Theres a saying in this game that you make your own luck !
Well to do that, you gotta make decisions that will give you the best chance for that to happen.
When bad decisions are made, generally you lose.

Still hoping for a miracle tomorrow but i think that happened for SA to jump from 4th to 1st in the last Round.

Sorry, I agree he isn't near Holland & Ahmed yet, but I do think that his value could've been quite significant - at worst he delivers similar to Holland who did the damage, and given this pitch is ripping a bit, he could've caused some headaches, if nothing else given our quicks a much needed spell.

Furthermore his batting I believe is better than Opie's, and bottom end runs are vital in these games as well.

Shouldn't judge Andrews too much on his previous matches where he bowled on flat Glenelg wickets that offered absolutely nothing, and he still toiled hard and wasn't disgraced by any means.

But it is what it is
