Sheffield Shield Season 2015/2016

Postby MJ_23 » Sun Apr 05, 2015 11:17 am

Now that the Victorians have collected the silver ware it's on to planning the next season for all the states.

Already we have seen highly rated Jake Doran leave NSW and head over to Tasmania. Interesting move given Neville is clearly the number 2 keeper at the moment for Australia and would have likely seen plenty of game time. Also poses the question whether Tim Paine may look elsewhere with Tasmania now having Paine, Doran and Dunk

Obviously with Cowan announcing he was leaving Tasmania during the year to move back to Sydney for family reasons. He will play for NSW next year (If he earns a contract)

Chris Rogers has also played his game for Victoria according to reports, No decision on where he will play when on break from International duties NSW and Tasmania are his preferred options.

That's 2 quality imports by Tasmania this off season. Meanwhile SACA are playing with their d**** trying to pick a new Coach

The High Performance manager had no issue giving the former captain the arse yet can't sign players.....

Lawford the only casualty (Botha and McDonald were obvious).

No new players on list from interstate which is surprising.

Valente earnt his Rookie contract, Neilson also got one (surprise, surprise when Daddy picked them!).

not sure why we kept so much low end talent in Worrall and Ross. Even Mennie was a hack last season.
