Think everyone needs to let this go.
The English selectors have got it right, more to selection than ability. You dont dog your team mates especially your skipper despite what you privately think of them. Players at footy clubs get delisted for far less

Well i never mentioned KP, tho Carey did.
Just agreeing with what the commentators said last night that Balances' footwork against the swinging ball was ordinary.
Obviously got ability to get to that level but his footwork in both innings dismissals was ordinary.

Great to watch Test Cricket when the ball is hooping around and the Poms are on the back foot

Yeah you're right Jim, as much as I love KP as a batsman his attitude towards his former England teammates is shithouse.

And I hope Ballance retains his spot in the English line up for the rest of this series and then the Ashes, he'll continue to spud it up and make no runs which gives us more chance of winning.

Stokesy what an innings, very talented young man! Good to see cook look at his best also against some very good bowling from boult in the morning. As boring as cook is whenever he makes runs we seem to win and that's why he's huge in the ashes.

Your best friend is the Duke. It swings like billy-oh and our batsmen struggle with that. As for Cook and Stokes I think Starc in particular will trouble both. A plan to get Stokes out square of the wicket looks to be on the cards and I can see Cook nicking plenty during the Ashes series.

Very true REB, if Anderson and broad can get the ball hooping that will be our only chance as you are susceptible to the moving ball. I agree regarding cook but that was the best I've seen him leaving the ball since 2012 and if he continues that I can see him doing well against the Aussies. Stokes will be inconsistent with the way he bats and may struggle against u guys but If he gets going he can change the game similar to Warner and players like that are hard to find.

England make 478 in their 2nd Innings. Cook made 162 and Stokes 101, Trent Boult took 5 for 85 from 34 overs.

New Zealand need 345 of 77 overs to win the match

What a turnaround in this match.
England were almost down and out after the 1st over on day 4.
Now the ball is starting to dominate after after promising to do so for the 1st 4 days.
Hard to save a game when 3 of your top 6 batsmen last a total of 4 balls.
McCullum got a pearler 1st ball, a MASSIVE in swinger which he played on.
Well this could be entertaining, Corey Anderson has come in and has just started teeing off
Love the way NZ play their cricket these days, Win or Lose, they have a real crack at it.

Great all round performance from Ben Stokes, just showed what he is capable of, can be a very good matchwinner for England.
