Thanks for posting that LM. No one should be getting a game based on that form line!!

Especially when we have Johnson batting below him.

I wonder what the comparative stats of the 4 bowlers are.

Just heard that Ballance has been replaced by Bairstow in the squad for the third test. Bairstow has five centuries for Yorks. this season.

For me the two most damning prospects for Haddin are ;

1) Nev genuinely looked smoother behind the stumps. He seems to have softer hands and better footwork.
2) Nev looked extremely comfortable, busy and with a good technique at the crease. BH has surpassed his score of 45 only once in 20 digs.

His contribution in his first test was excellent and why change a winning team. When we beat the Poms 5-0 we did not make one change last time around. I hope they stick with the same 11.

Sorry Brad but I think your time is up

I'll miss Ballance, he always swung in our favour.
I guess him being dropped has given Cook's fellow opener a bit of a Lyth.

I will miss him as he's an easy wicket for our quicks but I guess Bairstow won't be any different, he will sh!t himself facing Johnson again.

That Johnson ball to Muhammad Ali was a corker.... hope he cops one of them first up!

A few years back I played a game where we won the toss and batted, the captain decided to elevate himself to first drop, the regular first dropped off seen him padding up and said "You batting at 4 mate"
"Na, 3, you can go down a spot"
The dude was pretty pissed but the captain thought he was doing him a favour though.

"Oh well, it's only an extra ball I'll have to wait" the lad replied.

Funny enough, the skipper got a goldie.

I don't rate Ballance and his tekkers are non existent.

Just quietly though would take his test average of 47.76.

Its no surprises Neville looked better than Haddin with the gloves, there is a reason for that. He is better!

Balance gone and wouldn't be surprised if Lyth goes soon too. Both rubbish

yep and an average of 50.52 at first class level.

I don't think crickets a sport where you can be terrible and fluke an average of over 50.

i think its more of a case where he is a solid test player against the middle of the road nations but doesnt have the ability against the very good sides.
