2015 Ashes

Postby Lightning McQueen » Mon Jul 06, 2015 3:25 pm

What's people's predictions? I see Sportsbet are offering a $5 bonus bet for every ton that's scored for the series if you place a $50+ bet for a series result, I'm thinking 3-0.

I was going to do a poll but there's an insane amount of possibilities.

Agree with all these predictions hk.
England's win won't be a last-test consolation one, expect the series to be live going into the fourth test.

Warner won't be the leading run scorer, but will be the most important batsmen in the series. If he can get off to fast starts and we get our first 50-60 runs quickly, it will turn our game in our advantage from a 250-30 into a 350.
Not convinced, but happy to be to proven wrong, about Smith at 3. It is his final test to go from a run of very good form to verging on a champion IMO.
Cook and Root will have improved series, along with Bell will match Australia's batting, and their most important position could be to get something out of no 3, even if it's only consistent starts.

3-0 (one draw due to losing time to weather) defiantly can't see England winning a test.

Runs- Smith/Cook

Wickets- Starc/Broad

Spud it up- Lyon/Ballance but Watson to push hard for this title.

Don't have HD in the bedroom so no GEM F**k! Is it on fox sports as well?

I have a bad feeling about the series.
I reckon in 2005 we stuck with someone too long, cant remember who and didnt bring Hussey in.
If they stick with Watson, the series maybe over before we make the change.
Mind you if the menacing Mitch's turn up and not the ones we saw last summer it should swing our way.

2-2

Runs-
Cook series
Rogers Aus

Wickets
Hazelwood series
Anderson Eng

GEM. What a ******* joke. Get ****** Fox and Get ****** Nine. FFS I pay that evil arsehole Rupert Murdoch a fortune for Pay TV and it is so protected that it isn't forced to screen all FTA channels. Meanwhile, those equally ******* greedy **** at Nine get the rights and can't show the ******* ASHES?

So what are my options? Pay for a live pass subscription or a box to go on my TV? **** YOU. Just paid out $1200 in medical bills so I'd be lucky to buy lunch.

So for all the options, for all the money I pay out..I get 1981 radio level of service. GO AND GET ******.

End ******* rant.

decent rant, but how do you guys not have a HD set top box, or a HD capable TV?

(also as an aside, if you are a satellite foxtel customer and you get the IQ3 box, you can plug your FTA tv antenna into it and get all of the FTA channels on your IQ3 box. quite good.

More outlay. I have a HD Capable TV. But despite having Pay TV I Have to pay additional for hardware for something that is "FTA". Just put it on Fox or Nine ya ****. THATS what the rant was about.

Still to take some off the top, be interesting to see how it plays.. my gut feel is looks will be deceiving and this will end up being a belter of a deck after you get through the first hour or so - load up on a middle order batsman to top score 8)
