Well anyone bypassed by all and sundry and picked up in the rookie draft could be excused for not getting a gig at all. It might be his first year but he's leapfrogged a heap of better qualified (not by me) players to be a first choice backman albeit in a losing side.

Move stringer to forward pocket and slot bell into half forward.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Carlton: Bell, Cripps and Everitt
Coll: Adams
Geel: Guthrie & Lang
Hawks: Duryea
Port: Wingard
Rich: B.Ellis
Saints: Steven & Newnes
Dogs: Dalhuis, Bonts, Stevens & Wallis

Obviously I've left out ones previously listed.

Geelong: Blicavs and Thurlow. Guthrie not so much and Lang is new.
