Thank you for your email.

The Port Adelaide Football Club was awarded the opportunity to launch Multicultural round by the AFL in recognition of the great work being done by the club in this area. As such, we have been long planning to celebrate this with a more spectacular than usual pre game entertainment showpiece. This would have occurred with or without this gesture from the State Government.

The State Government has offered to compensate PAFC as a result of transport delays that impacted our supporters (please also remember we pay a very large transport levy to the state government for this service that was affected), however we can assure you that this contribution from the Government will be applied to a multitude of purposes, including the continuance of the community programs we run, in which this club invests in excess of $2m per annum.

We hope you enjoy the football on Thursday 7th July, but moreover, we hope that you remain proud of the contribution we make to community initiatives including campaigns to end violence against women, programs to improve the quality and levels of education being attained by aboriginal youth and the work we are doing to provide job opportunities for disadvantaged youth of South Australia.

Thank you for supporting the Port Adelaide Football Club.

Forgot to mention that the punter then pays more for their ticket to compensate the club for the transport levy. Convenient that.

You are joking aren't you?

This is the same retard that has been on their list for several years who comes in and out most weeks who uses the same kicking coach as John Butcher?
That Mitchell? :D

Gray, Sam I assume, not surprised.

Stewart, bloody unlucky if he is out ahead of O'Shea.

Mitchell, I haven't seen he's been ungraded off the rookie list? Obviously Dougal is on the long term injury list, but I haven't heard of Mitchell being elevated.

Yeah Stewart is a surprise.......no world beater but has a crack.
O'Shea should have been omitted first.

Can't be many left on the list now to choose from?
JB is going to get a game soon by default! ;)

He might if another over 6'2" goes down with injury, but the inclusion of Schulz means Dixon and Westhoff can carry some more ruck load across the remainder of the year.

Lobbe, White and Snelling 2-3 from returning, Carlile, Howard and Johnson done for the year.

Carlile is done for good unfortunately.
If Schulz goes alright for the remainder of the year does he get another contract?
Surely you can't play Dixon, Westhoof, Schulz and Ryder in the same forward line?

Having said that I think Lobbe is cooked anyway and Ryder will have to ruck next year.

 Will play his 200th AFL game before the end of the year....

Schulz, Westhoff, Dixon and Ryder wouldn't all play in the F50.

Ryder rucks, Westhoff where he likes and Dixon, Schulz in the F50.

Booney defending Westhoff. Funny stuff. Only O'Bree and maybe Rocca would have Westhoff covered as worst 200 gamer ever.

Michael Firrito, Tim Notting, Ryan Houlihan, Josh Fraser, Brant Stanton, Shaun McManus, Antoni Grover, Darren Gaspar, Jason Blake, Michael Braun...all played at least 200 more AFL/VFL games than the blokes taking pot shots from here....

LMAO. Never thought I'd hear the 'you didn't play AFL so you have no right to an opinion' line from you Booney. We've been on these forums too long for that one to be trotted out. You did make your point though, what a motley collection of players. I'll concede, I'd have Westhoff over those blokes but playing 200 doesn't automatically make you a gun and it's a poor defence for a player who I'd argue hasn't reached his potential. We've had this discussion many times, perhaps you are seeing something about this guy that I don't. I've always thought the way to beat Westhoff was to put a man on him.

I'd take Gasper and Notting who played in 2 premierships well before Westhoff.
