Quit trying to play the underdog status. You've beaten every other side in the top 8 (including the 3 you mentioned) except West Coast who you haven't played yet.

We smashed west coast
So you've seen everything have you?

I would have the Swans as second favorite myself.

Same. Reckon hawthorn are so short just because they are hawthorn. And the overall quality of the top teams isn't as high as previous years. So whilst hawthorn haven't been playing that great they are still around the mark

Tend to agree. Hodge back soon helps. Roughy is the one we are missing. Still if we can get there, we will give it a shake.

Geelong and Swans for mine. Hawks are a 3rd option at the moment due to there key outs.

About 6 of 22 looked like they gave a shit today. We were manic around the ball last week and pathetic today. Unacceptable when effort drops.

If Polec got dropped for half arse efforts last week........ Then Ken should drop a lot more senior players this week.

Polec did bugger all in the reserves. Not much else in the reserves to bring up if they do drop players. Bring up some kids to expose them to the better quality rather than ones who have been there before (Mitchell and co) and are not up to it.

Need to get guys like Palmer and Bonner a run now. Blood some kids that are hungry. I thought you guys looked flat and in my opinion I havent seen Freo play that well all season. So take nothing away from them as they were good. But you guys were poor and looked flat.

Swans have drifted for me. No Tippett for maybe rest of the year will hurt big time, I have GWS finishing higher and making a Prelim

I still reckon North are a threat despite their recent run of outs. But I think they need to give Goldy a rest and they need Swallow and Cunnington back too. Not sure how far away Higgins is but he's pretty important too. If those guys are on the park in September they can win it. The Swans are the danger as they will get Tippett back for the finals. Like North, their task is to stay in the top four until they regain strength.

GWS have a dream run in but I wouldn't back them with Monopoly money away from their toy stadium in September. The Hawks have been given an unprecedented four charity games from the umpires this season (so far) so they aren't two down, they are one up, two up this weekend. Young players Sicily and Stewart are all well versed in Pouopolo way. Be careful for what you wish for Clarko, you might just get the Lindsay treatment. Top eight, maybe top four for them but this a Hawthorn team has a very "Geelong 2014" feel about them.

The Cats are flying now but let's see how we are looking after the Saints game. We tend to drink our own Bathwater a bit at Sleepy Hollow so if we respect the Saints it will be a sign they've learnt from John Lennon's "lost fortnight". We also haven't played the Swans and we were a bit lucky in terms of personel over the last two weeks with significant outs to the opposition.

Speaking of which the Bulldogs are still a good side despite last night. They had three of their first choice back six out and JJ And Easton Wood will both return even if the Rascal Murphy will not. The Adelaide Crows have that awesome forward line and their rebounding defence is improving all the time. But that midfield just doesn't bat deep enough to win anymore than one final. As for West Coast, they are rubbish and will Bradbury into the eight and be a Richmond once they get there.

regards,

REB
