Of course, the good thing is that these premierships won by these sides will be recognised on the relevant club's tallies by the AFL ;)

Does Travis Cloke have his coaching tickets? He could be the highest paid coach in the league ;)

I was thinking more along the line of someone who retrieves the balls behind the goals.

Wonder if Brisbane and GWS seriously were interested in women's footy, or if this is the AFL pushing the agenda to hopefully then grow interest and improve things for the league side.

They needed one in each state, so Qld and NSW had to get one each, the AFL fund GWS so no brainer and Brisbane are on life support so they'll get any help the AFL can give them too.

I am surprised Adelaide were selected over Port considering Port have been established in the SAWFL for some time and I know Port have gone to great lengths to improve their status in the league.

I'm guessing that they see a bigger opportunity of attracting players from rival clubs by opting for AFC .

The Crows are involving the NT so it allows the AFL to kill two birds with one stone.

Given the context of this thread, I found the analogy disturbing.

I thought Port pulled out of the race once Adelaide announced they were partnering with NT. I'm surprised Geelong didn't get a side, seems like a good spot to set up a women's side with the country area they cover.

Collingwood will have a busy time next year, men's and women's footy sides plus a new netball side in the national comp.

Where will the games be played considering the comp is over Feb and March? Will it all be played at Etihad? Maybe Footy Park will host a few Crows games

Think Gil said there would be 4-6 new teams entering within 2 years depending on how it goes
