Exactly my point. I'm disappointed but I get it. Do the deal move on....as everyone else should too. Its not going to change things so let it slide for heavens sake.

I'm assuming from what he's saying his missus may be the force behind the move. If they've had a child and she/they are not coping then there is only one way this can play out.

Probably the most sensible post on the subject. Get the deal done, its not all doom and gloom for Carlton. A 28 year old moves on and you get at least another first round pick and possibly a player that is AFL standard to add to your depth. If its pick 13 and Lyons, then that would still be good for Carlton. Lyons played what 16 AFL games in lest say a higher ladder side. Would go well in Carltons midfield plus the additional first rounder helps out with the rebuild.

You hope.

Supporters always hope, but I am 100% certain McGovern and Crouch will not be traded for Gibbs.

Stuff Gibbs, if Carlton cant get a deal that wins for them, make him sit out of football. I'd rather have nothing for a season than seen as an easy target from other clubs with trades. If he (or his missus) want to go home to mummy he should've thought of that before signing 5 year deals.

Could be because as soon as there was a whisper that Dangerfield might be leaving Crouch was always the name that came up to fill the void. Rightly or wrongly this was the discussion.

I wouldn't want to leave Melbourne and come back to the media retardation known as Rowey, Jars, Bones and KG either.

Generally getting SA boys back from Victoria is difficult. Take this what ever way you like but Melbourne has so much more to offer than Adelaide. Its not just the media its the life after football as well. For Gibbs its all about family, fair enough.

They've got their fair share of peanuts over there.

I'll never forget Dougie's description about Nathan Eagleton "Eagleton's a 100 metre player, he runs 30 and then kicks it 60"

Give Brad an injury free preseason/year and i think you will see why. Crows picked him up in that mini draft GC had at number 2 behind Omera, would have gone top 5 in the National draft if he got that far.

Matt is not only a better player now but appears to be a better long term prospect also, in my view.
